New to Rams but not dieaesls. Traded me 2008 F250 6.4l in for a 2024 Bighorn with the 6.7l cummins. It had 20 miles on it when I drove off the lot, about 50 miles later the "DEF service" came on. Finished the drive home and call the dealership the following day to get it in for service. They told me that the tank was over filled and thus they had to drain it. It was a bandage for the problem. Took the truck home and within 200 miles the "Def Service" lit up again. But this time it gave me 76 miles before it went into the 5 mph limp mode. The first time it gave me 150 miles. Called the dealership again, took it in, now it needs a new DEF pump, tank, and hoses.

The problem is that they are telling me that the tank is no where to be found on the east coast. Kinda sounds funny to me. Brand new truck and you can't get parts? Anyone else run into issues with getting basic parts from Ram???

Thanks for all you do

After I was able to talk to a lead supervisory at the FCA customer service, they found one. It was in Alaska, so they sent it overnight. Picked up the truck last-night. I was just asking if anyone else had this issue. I do have both the customer service number and the direct number to the case management people if anyone needs it.

seems to be the case when ever something is under warranty. my transmission took over a month to show up after the found one. im fairly certain if it was out of pocket they would have it pretty quick.

How did you get your truck in so quick? I have to schedule appointment and the closest is 2 months away

try another dealer. depends on locations and how busy they are ect and how hard they actually look for parts and or want to take care of you.

Took me over a month to get the four bolts that connect the front axle to the control arms (alignment bolts).
The Parts guy said a lot of parts are on back order lately

Just got done waiting almost a month for a new DPF on my 2023 2500.

Back order seems to be the norm and not the exception these days.

They told me HD rams are handled by different crew and they have separate building dedicated to them. Sounded like someone from outside work on them

This is all brands unfortunately. It seems they have no issue having parts to build the vehicles but no parts to service them. It’s been like that since 2019 and no manufactures seem to care about it.

Hi everyone! If anyone requires assistance with concerns related to their vehicle, please reach out to us individually with details of your situation. Our team is more than willing to assist where able. Thank you, and we hope to connect with each of you soon.
