I'm going to apologize right off the bat, I'm so angry right now I can barely type.

Let me give you the short version - I bought my truck in January of this year. It's always had what I've felt as a "miss" I took it in to the service shop, they told me it was normal and sent me packing. Fast forward a few months and a few check engine lights, I take it in for service to get the CEL's diagnosed for the umteenth time. They've had my truck for almost a month now, and just called to tell me that the tech advisor just left and somehow I have contaminated fuel that clogged my injectors, and thus Chrysler will not cover the repair. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE F%$$%& JOKE!

This truck has had this problem since day 1. In fact, it threw a CEL with 300 miles on it on the friggin drive home! (this is when I took it in and they told me the misfire was normal). But now they're telling me the last tank of fuel somehow did all this and now they want me to try to pursue some kind of damage claim with a gas station where I bought diesel fuel over a month ago.... yeah right, there's no way to prove any of that. Way to pass the buck Chrysler! So now I'm stuck with an $80,000 truck that needs all new injectors @ $21,000?!?!?!!? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Can anyone help me here or am I just totally screwed? I'm thiiiis close to calling my attorney.

Where’s your fuel sample? Any evidence?

The dealer pulled a sample from my tank and compared it with new fuel bought locally. They said it "looks and smells different" I have not seen this for myself yet.

Sounds like a lawsuit is in order this dealer is clueless if they don't have proper testing

Finally got my truck back after 2 1/2 months. Long story short, the service manager at the dealership actually went to bat for me and argued with the STAR tech that it can't be bad fuel when they detected the problem months earlier. Tech agreed and authorized the warranty replacement of all my injectors plus and labor. Drives like a completely different truck now and I couldn't be happier.
