What did you do TO your RAM today?

Took it out on an overlanding trip this weekend. Had a blast.

Unfortunately, passenger rear door: 0, sage brush from hell: 1. I was focused some rocks on the left side and didn’t notice the bush. I generally don’t care about scratches, but several of these go down to bare metal.

Spent this afternoon trying to find a shop to fix the paint. So far aside from one really sketchy shop every quote is about $1000, because they say that have to re-clear the entire door because of the two-tone.

Argh.

It goes pretty well. Many Bolts and Nuts to loosen or remove. I've done it many times now so it goes fairly quick. Yes they are OEM Reflectors.
any pitfalls during wiring? And are the DRL's still controlled through the radio settings?

Just Un Plug the Old and Plug in the new. There are settings to change with Alpha OBD. DRL is controlled in the Settings Screen.

If you intend to do more trips like that,
Consider line x’ing the rockers. I had the bumpers and grill line x’ed on my 13’ and it looked killer and was tough as nails.

Most of my weekends are trips like that. Or at least trails like that.

I’ve thought about line-x, rhinoliner, etc, but I hate how it basically always looks dirty.

You can have them do it smooth texture in gloss and can’t even tell it’s there. I had this on my 03 cummins in black. Man I miss that truck. On my current truck I just did clear paint protection film on the rockers.

Interesting, never seen smooth gloss bed liner before.

Not Linex but the factory spray in bed liner is similar material. I pressure wash it yearly and apply Aero Cosmetics Rubber Care with a tire brush. Makes it look brand new. Photo was taken this spring. Truck is thee years old.

Wow, that does improve the look. My factory bed liner does not look like that. The product doesn't make it greasy?

It is water based. Initially a bit slippery but no more so than when it came from the factory.
