Too much oil and poor dealer help

Well here goes another 2022. My work truck check engine light came on for the second time for frequent regen. First time for fuel dilution issues but this time definitely there! Called the dealership up and they can't get me in till next week, but I at least took it in for verification and oil change done by my personal shop. I will be pulling oil sample for this one as well and sending it off.

Called Ram care to open a new case... they were really confused I was opening a new case on a 2022 Ram 3500 with a different Vin. They actually tried to pull Well fuel dilution is not from frequent regen bull crap. So I told her too look up my name and phone number in the system and tell me what I don't know. She put me on hold for a long time and well I have a new case number and with a special case manager already lmao.

So I guess keep this thread going with truck # 2?

Ugh.

That's gotta be 3.5-4 gallons?

Careful they don't see that T4 bucket or you might get accused of the wrong oil.

Its right at 4-4.5 almost, oil sample pulled ill send off tomorrow. Dealership pulled code and documented oil level, since they could not get me in for oil change i was forced to go to a private shop to get it done. only bucket he had that was empty and seeing how this is my second truck with the same issue good luck telling me I am using the wrong oil. lol dealership did the last 4 on my other truck.

Ugh. And “they” wonder why so many people want this stuff removed…

I’m right there with you. Mine is headed south again. Left the house today and DPF % REG was climbing about 1% per mile, faster in some spots slower in others. But generally speaking. I left the driveway at 53% and came back an hour later at around 75%. That’s towing a tandem axle 14ft enclosed box trailer all highway at 70mph.

yeah it is horrible, I am down 1 truck soon ill be down 2. we will see how this one goes eventually ill run out of trucks to try.

My dealership has also been giving me the "regen does not cause fuel in the oil" line as well. I feel like there is a good case for a class action lawsuit on these things. I have a decent sized following on YT (302k) and I may reach out there to see if anybody else is having the same issues.

I have reached out to local news, a couple law firms, EPA complaints and NHTSA complaints as well. If you make a video with that many followers I will try my best to spred it every where myself.

This forum has enough data to burn Ram down I think but we're just little minnows in the pond.

I would imagine a lot of people are having a ton of issues and have been getting the dealer run around. I am 9 months deep on mine and still no fix, and now my work truck is headed in for it. I know the dealership game and most people let them play it as there is no where else to go.

That’ll get some attention for sure. Pleasure having you in the board. Been following along before mullet was done!

So they’re just acknowledging there is an issue and or are working on / have a solution?
I read it as both.
Acknowledge they have an issue and potential build dates

Replace entire DOC / DPF is the fix. But it specifically states it isn’t a proactive repair. Only to be done on trucks under the RSU and within the build dates in question

It's a start at least. My truck builds were 10/21 and 11/21. I wonder if this plays with the dealer telling me the DOC breaking free. My DPF was replaced earlier this year could bring from that batch.
