Too much oil and poor dealer help

What happened with the transmission? Did it not get fixed correctly?

Yup, got it back uh.... last friday. acted weird on the way home but that was from the trans relearn. its currently at 100300 miles. got it back with 99768 miles on it. seems to be fine. no issues as of yet. ive been driving like a grandma. shifts better then it did. i believe its fixed. im going to pick up a F250 in PA (2.5 hours each way) friday so that will be the test. i think the load will be like 8000lbs with trailer and snow plow.

But yes, took them 2 trys to get the trans right. 2 months 5 days.

the average person cant afford to fix half the stuff going on with these trucks let alone afford them anymore. My transmission alone cost someone 14000$ under warranty. and thats a "Easy fix" that they still messed up

Even the non average side it would suck if warranty didn't cover it. I definitely wouldn't be going to the dealership for them to perform work. The injectors from Ram is $1k each and DPF is $12k just for parts. The cost of repairs have exceeded my trucks original cost lol.

Worst part is we're paying top dollar for repairs and parts. Then we get sub par workmanship and dealership hands out participation trophy's and get away with it. They couldn't even change my oil with out over filling it.

I looked at the shop receipt I got when they dealer replaced my transmission - at 26K miles - and it was almost $14,000 just like you mentioned. Warranty paid, but who can afford $14K to replace a transmission?

at that point, go aftermarket with a built trans and do it yourself.
Well, hopefully the replaced tranny will last more than the 26K miles the OEM one lasted. I'm 71 and can't seen to picture me jacking around under a truck to replace a failed tranny. "Hey honey, hand me the spanner will ya please? This ain't like pulling out that 4-bolt manual on old Betsey back in '72!" Maybe 20 years ago or even 10, but certainly not now. Ha ha, I'd rather watch it plummet off a 600' cliff, on fire and loaded with dynamite, before such a scenario ever arises.

Update....

Engineering team is having the dealership now looking into the EGR system looking for leaks......
Have they checked the manifold for leaks/cracks ant all? Especially further back near cylinder 6

At this point, Ram has spent more money trying to fix this lemon than it would cost to pay for a brand new truck. I truly do not know how you’re maintaining your composure.

They have paid more than MSRP lol. I dont depend on the truck everyday, but it is nice and makes my life easier to have it. If it was my only means of transportation it would of been traded off a long time ago. The stuff Ram says and what they do is almost like a cartoon . I kinda wanna see if they launch themselves on a rocket or if they actually catch the road runner.

I feel like there’s no part of this truck mechanically they haven’t replaced other than turbo and the engine and checking the EGR for leaks tells me either their incompetence is higher than I’d like to admit or they’re just chasing things til you get rid of it. I believe the latter personally, just wait til you’ve had enough trade it in and hope the next owner doesn’t play close attention or deletes it. You could take a random person off the street who doesn’t know vehicles, present this scenario and they’d come to the same conclusion. Ram is relying on everyone to make their life easier by getting rid of their problem vehicles instead of holding them accountable. I’m glad you’re able to do the opposite and let it play out. Majority of us would be gone by now!

I would feel horrible to trade this thing in for someone to finance it. This POS Is at least paid off and about after 3 months of bull I decided to take it to the end.

Think of how many people don’t have your resilience patience etc…

Well sounds like they just solved the problem.

Lmao! Well this dealership is 10 times better than the last. I would at least say they found A issue. Seeing how this has played out probably not the "fix", but at least they are not saying good to go were done attitude.

There is too many things to go wrong and it's just a chase to fix the next thing. Soon everything will be replaced and a part they replaced earlier will go out and it will start all over again lmao.

The question is, was this connection ever messed with when the other 3285947234098634 parts were replaced?
