Put in tow haul and leave it be.
Same here the winding logging roads its nice to keep it in 3rd instead of the constant 3-4 shiftExactly, these trucks are programmed to be in the correct gear.
The only time I lock gears out is rolling hills where it shifts a lots, or winding up/down hill where I don’t want it to shift so much.
There isn’t a gear you can’t tow in.
