Scott,Hello, I’ve also been through this. In order for your cameras to work properly, your truck’s gateway needs to be configured when you first order the truck. The dealers seem to think it’s plug and play and that’s just not the case. Also, corporate will not help you because it’s not considered a fix, it’s considered a modification.
my cameras still don’t work properly and the dealer stopped talking to me about it.
I should have taken the cameras off and returned them right away but with what I went through to install them but that was my mistake.
Now I use them threw auxiliary 1, if I use them at all as it’s too much trouble switching between views while you’re trying to park.
Now I’m teaching myself to park using my mirrors or I have the wife back it in.
You’d think the dealers would know how to configure this but guess again.
Good luck!
Scott
I believe the "Wired Two-Mode Camera" is available for the 2024 trucks. I found the camera on a Window Sticker at a dealership in Denver; it shows a cost of $635. Also, I have found the Tow-Mode Camera online but it is for the 2022 trucks; not sure if it would work for the 2024's. You'll see that the end of the cable appears to be a coax type so it would plug in to the port on the left side of the license plate. If I can't find this part number my next step is find someone that carriers the camera and see if the 2022 camera works on my 2024.
If the camera is available on some of the new trucks then we should be able to purchase that camera. That is what I am trying to find out... where can I purchase that camera.
I attached pics of the Window Sticker with the URL and the Mopar site that shows the 2022 camera, also provided the URL.
Tks!
Marty
