Too much oil and poor dealer help

Yeah I'll keep monitoring it. I am on site rest of the day and short trip back to the shop. I'll be doing decent traveling tomorrow and over the weekend. Maybe it will stay at 1/4 but that has not been the case lol. I don't have a banks Guage so can't monitor anything besides miles and soot level.

I'm using OBD and Torque.

I don't seem to have the right PID for the soot level, so that's just what I'm seeing on the EVIC.

Temps, active regen I can see in the app.

I'm guessing the PID's from the trucks programming would be the same for the various readers (?), try this one which works in my Scangauge devices.

Wowzers not good and IMHO that's a crock of sh it to see DPF climb in such few miles, so it's defiantly not fixed IMO. I out of 437.7 with 300 of it city miles on my last tank my DPF gauge still reads zero, but then I'm also now using Archoil 6500 but even then before Archoil I could go more than 133 miles without my DPF gauge going up, I sure hope they do you right and real soon...

Untill my check engine light comes back on nothing they can do.

The guy who posted that picture said that after “repair” his DPF went up 25% in 91 miles also though

Parts I know that they replaced.

Fuel filters done back in January. 4k miles
Air filter
Mass air sensor.
Pcv filter.
CCV filter.
DPF system.
Particulate matter sensor recall.
Computer update.
Rocker arms and push rods.
All new injectors.
HPFP Leak test twice.

There was a post in another thread where STAR recommended to relocate the ground on the differential pressure sensor as a possible solution to this problem. Of course it may not be the issue with yours, but at this point I would see if your dealer will inquire to STAR about this.

Yeah I saw that... problem is it's been 6months and they can't fix it. FCA Engineering is still trying to figure it out on our dime that is the problem.

That's unfortunate. It just boggles my mind that the 13-18 trucks rarely had any soot loading issues, the 19-21 seemed to be mostly issue free, but what changed in '22+? And why can the engineers figure it out? Something had to change in '22. Did the suppliers change for the doc/dpf, or for any of the sensors/ecm? '22 was the first year for the locked down ecm's, I doubt that has any bearing on this issue but you never know.

I think there is a metal band that goes there?
BTW if you lose boost soot level goes to zero...

Anytime I work on something and finish, I always go back through and look to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I had that same problem when I took my previous truck in for major work at the dealership, stuff was just missing. Incompetence.

Sloppy workmanship. Hopefully that is all they forgot to put back on.

I hope that's all that is loose. I've seen them pop before typically they did not clean the boot or tube. Little bit of grease and it will pop off. ****ty thing is I couldn't pull over right away I was in a passing lane and heavy traffic. The clamp is somewhere on the highway, lucky enough a buddy had a clamp at home that would work and wasn't doing much.

Goodness man, bless you for still being calm about this. The truck is one issue, then a second ship that you think has their **** together and this happens.

After owning a company and having employees, there is soo much out of your control. Nothing you can do about it but figure out how to fix it or move on. If you lose your temper and control you have lost the battle and will cost you the war. If I stay calm keep this going FCA will hanging themselves with the rope I give them.

They replaced the turbo on my 2003 under warranty. On my way to my vacation the hose blew off and put a dent in the oil filter. Had to park the fifth wheel and find a new clamp. Took a while. The two spot welds let go on the orignal clamp. Obvioiusly didn't use a torque wrench on the bolt and overtightened it. I was pissed to say the least. You are at the mercy of the guy doing the job. Reason I do most of my work myself.

That sucks been in situations like that before. If I had time I would love to do my own work, I love wrenching on my own stuff.
