My 2022 2500 has a connection on the Uconnect for a trailer camera and also an option for trailer surround camera. I would like to know what camera set up I need to have a back up camera for my 5th wheel.( My rearview mirror is not digital, it is a normal rearview). Any advice would be appreciated.

Here is the rearview camera that came from the factory in my 22 2500.

I love that thing! So nice to have it integrated into the rearview mirror. I also have the 4 corner plug in the bumper, but did not order that camera.

Oh, you will likely need some kind of extension cable if your 5er is much over 25'. And if your mirror is not digital, I'm not sure of your upgrade path to get it all working.

That’s the DRVM camera, and the OP is not setup for that.

The OP needs a 68527709AC to use for the 360° trailer camera.

For the aux2 camera I did some research and the reviews were horrid especially for the price, so I didn’t research it too much.

Thanks for the all the help guys. After doing some digging. The blue screen is connected to the 12 pin plug I have on the passenger side of my license plate. That camera system is 881606AB and cost about 1600.00 dollars.

On the right side of my license plate there is a plug for a single camera for part #82216510AA. I traced that cable but it ends at the cab. I don't have a digital rear view mirror. So, I can't use that camera system.

I looked up part number for the 360° camera system (68527709AC) but could not find that on the Mopar website.

The trailer 360° camera and aux2 camera both plug into the same port. The 360° camera system is digital, while I understand the aux2 camera to be analog and that’s why it has poor image quality.

The part number you posted is too short for a Mopar part number.

The single plug on the left (drivers) side is for the DRVM. That plug is only there if you have a DRVM. Since you have the plug what makes you think you don’t have a DRVM?

It’s the part # on my 360° camera box.

I did address that, but his OP was kind of confusing, saying he didn't have the digital rearview camera. If the truck is wired for the rear facing camera, there must be some upgrade path to get there.

There are a couple of them on ebay right now.

The more info given the more confusing it does seem to be. He’s mentioned a couple times he doesn’t have the DRVM, but also said it’s wired for the tow-mode camera and that only comes with the DRVM.

This wouldn’t be the first post where someone didn’t know they had the DRVM because it was off. Since it’s a 22 adding a tow-mode camera to the trailer/DRVM would be pretty easy over the 360° trailer camera. I have both, and haven’t installed either yet. I really should.

@Jchaz9442 can you post a pic of your rear view mirror and plugs on your rear number?

I realized the mistake. I meant that the rear view mirror is a normal mirror, not a digital w/ camera. I found the camera cable in the rear bumper but it ended at the cab. I removed the rear view mirror to check and it looks like there is no camera connectors. Sorry for the confusion. If I try to add a digital rear view mirror will it work with the existing wiring?

Does your rear bumper have a blanking plate where the tow-mode camera cable is? Or a camera connection?

My rear bumper has a blank plug where a connection would be. I read on another thread that I could possibly add all that to my truck to make it a rear view camera with tow camera. I was just looking to have a rear view camera for my 5th wheel. I think after pricing all the parts it would just be cheaper to get a furrion rear camera.
