Power Wagon vs Rebel

I have confirmed with Mark Dodge that the winch is a $2500 option and the 20" wheel option is required so if you want a winch the Rebel is currently $1200 more than a Power Wagon when equipped the same. Without the winch it's $1300 less than a Power Wagon. For me at least this makes the Rebel a complete disappointment and I would only consider it if you want a diesel in a truck that has PW looks and a locker or if you want the Limited interior with a gas engine because the level 2 package covers that and you can't order a Hemi in a Limited right now.

I’m about to put my order in and I’ve decided to look at it as a limited with a Hemi, a locker, a winch, and no chrome. From that perspective it’s a pretty good deal. Comes out 4K cheaper than the Limited I’d optioned out in the guide before they took the Hemi out.

I get it from that standpoint but I keep coming back to the fact that I can get a Power Wagon with the same interior for less money and the only thing I lose is payload and towing numbers and I think several people have reported that if you add some air bags to the PW you'll gain that capability back, though not on the door sticker, because the axles have the same rating as a normal 2500. The PW is just more value for the money IMO. I would jump all over the Rebel if I could get it for a few grand less than a PW with the winch included.

What the H@ll, they require the 20" wheels? That makes zero sense. They clearly don't understand the real "offroad" market.

The 18” “standard” wheels are not available yet. My guess is it’s a supply issue.

PW comes with 17" standard. Just saying.
From a pure off-roading point I’d prefer 17”, for just towing and load handling 20” is preferred (or 19.5 I suppose if you really hate your kidneys), so I’d think 18” is a decent compromise.
