So I bought a 2023 Big Horn in early November out of state. I bought and paid for the truck without actually seeing it and was too busy to worry about picking it up and finally had one of my friends (and professional driver employee) pick up the truck. I finally saw it and drove it last Monday, the 18th. I was planning to drive the truck on a 1500 mile truck last Friday. I hate the mirrors so much, that I moved all my stuff back into my 2015 Ram CC Hemi Express 4x4 with 170k miles on it and set off on my trip.
I see all of the comments about the people that are disappointed with the 2022 and earlier Passenger Side Tow Mirrors that I am not really sure I want to roll the dice on buying a set of Power Folding Tow Mirrors and then end up with the same issue I am having with the 2023 mirrors.
My Truck currently has (from the window sticker);
Power Heat/Fold/Telescoping Mirrors
Power Telescoping Mirrors
Automatic Power-Folding Mirrors
Forward and Reverse Lights
From doing some research on the 2022 Ram 2500/3500 the standard mirror for the CC is a 6x9 Power Black Mirror non folding ( may be the same mirror on my 2015 1500 Express that I really like), the Ram Brochure lists the sales code for this mirror as GT6. Looking at the 2023 Ram 1500 Classic Brochure, the standard mirror for the CC is also a 6x9 Power Black Mirror non folding With the same GT6 sales code. With this information, it makes me believe that I should be able to use a mirror designed for a 2023 Ram 1500 Classic on my 2023 Ram 2500. If this is correct, the Ram 2023 Ram 1500 Classic Brochure list an optional 6x9 Heated, Auto Dimming, Power Folding Mirror with Courtesy Lamps and Supplemental Turn Signals. The sales code for this mirror is GUK.
Does this seem reasonable, that I can get the mirrors for a 2023 Ram 1500 (loaded model such as Warlock) and get the mirrors that I am used to? I appreciate everyone’s help and support with this project.
Thanks,
Dan
