Anyone else experiencing hood insulation drooping or falling? It has happened in the last few days as I had my hood open on Friday and it wasn’t. Trying to stuff it back where it belongs and it’s almost like there’s no rigidity at all.

I’ve had my hood insulation on my 2022 replaced once under warranty. Within a year, the replacement one sags in the middle just like the factory one did. The dealer service advisor shrugged his shoulders and basically told me there’s nothing more they can do. It’s annoying and ridiculous. The insulation panel isn’t even remotely close to fitting properly

I can hear the back edge closest to the cab drag on the weather stripping every time I open the hood. Mine’s probably not long for this world either.

I have. tried to figure out some way of attaching the rear edge using some sort of small clamp or something similar. If I can't come up with something I will remove it and replace it with self adhisive sound deadener material such as Dynamat.

They sell dynamat alternatives on eBay under different chicom names, I’ve used it on firewalls and for interior sound and always worked great

I tied a piece of bailing wire across it.

Thought about using some industrial velcro, but figured the glue would melt. Probably better off just drilling another hole and using an insert with a large fender washer.

Velcro will eventually let go. Not sure if I like the bailing wire idea. I would like a bit more of an "elegant" solution. LOL

I added some body push pins across the bottom and that solved the problem.

Yes I had to drill, since I have a Polaris sxs I keep a bag of push pins on hand. You can get them at Amazon or Ace Hardware, also caries a variety of automotive style body plastic pins. Once you get whatever you want then measure for the approximate hole to drill. I believe I installed four pins. There is enough space between the underside molded piece and the top of the hood, just place the pins where you have the biggest gap. Drill a pilot hole and then whatever diameter hole you need for the pin, remember the hood is aluminum so don't apply to much pressure when drilling.

I was annoyed with the vibration of the insulation when it sagged, I folded the insulation over in the center retaining pocket and placed a binder clip on it to keep it up. I like the push pin fix, that is probably the route I will go to fix it if the clip falls off, just didn't want to go drilling holes in the underside of the hood if I could help it.

painted a small self tapper and 1'' fender washer and screwed 4 of them into hood, they blend in with insulation and dont look out of place

Yep. Used the same binder clips, although I used three, one in each cutout location.
