Will 4th gen tailgate and taillights work on a 5th gen bed?

I have a 2018 2500 Tradesman 8ft with some damage on the bed. Found a guy on Facebook that has a bunch of 5th gen pulloffs. I just need to know if my 4th gen tailgate with mechanical latches will work on a 5th gen bed. Also taillights.

No as the hinges are different you would need to modify your gate. Lights are also slightly different

If you can get the gate and lights too then its easy enough to make them work including the electric latches

I'll just find a 4th gen. I could have gotten one of these 5th gen beds for 400.00. Super cheap.

5th generation bed on the 1500 is 3" taller than 4th generation, and the 5th gen taillights are slightly bigger.

These are actually 4.5 gen there is no 5th gen HD yet
