Regens at alarming rate!

I have an open star case as well as ram CAIR , CAIRs was suppose to cal me in 48 hours haven’t heard back yet it’s been 5 days !!

I think I will let the NHTSA know there’s something wrong with my emission on my truck that the dealer cannot figure out. Which is definitely a safety issue! the toxic fumes are coming into my truck. I’m sure EPA would love to know this as well.

I usually buy a new ram every 2-3 years since 2012 6.7 ! I’m over it RAM starting to be a piece of crap brand for me

Ram know they have a problem trust me my opinion!!!!!!

Ram Keeps kicking the bucket down the road total BS!

EPA is mostly to blame for this, so they won't care one little bit.

NHTSA will only pay attention for motive failures with the potential for and actual severe injury or fatality issues.

Let's face it; the government doesn't care. Never did and never will. If you don't comply then they fine you. Tough luck. Canada is the same way.

yup. go to our local ram/ford dealer and the ford dealer's garage has a wait list for work. i dont know about chevy/gmc though as i dont follow what is going on (That may change if they come out with the 8.3L) cause of rust issues that have had.
If they actually do create an 8.3L, I think it will be exclusive to their cab & chassis 4500/5500/6500 series trucks (like they used to have with the old 7.8L Isuzu LG4 “Duramax” engines.) I really don’t see them attempting to stuff another 1.7L worth of engine under the hood of the pickups, not to mention the increase in size of all the other systems that would need to expand along with the block in order to accommodate that big of a displacement change (cooling systems and emissions systems especially).

My father's 23 was allowing the regen fumes into the cab as well. It was sickening and by far the worst part of this issue. His dealer couldn't figure it out either. The truck is gone now.

Really the dealer could not figure out something so simple….

Hello everyone, I have a 2022 3500 H.O
Regens every 100 miles or less, been like this since I bought it, I'm thinking on start a case with the lemon law, has someone submited a lemon law case? I just want some info to know if they really help, thank you.
60%+ of the trucks I have on my regen frequency issues track spreadsheet are 2022’s. Yours may be a faulty component. Either the DPF or the MAF. If it’s been like that since new there’s definitely something wrong. This is a current document from STAR that reports current areas to look at when a truck is demonstrating frequent regeneration IMG_4620.jpegIMG_4621.jpeg

My 2022 is currently in the shop. A month now. Finally on to the MAF whenever the part arrives. I had no CELs, but was regening every 20 miles or so plus excessive oil levels. My fingers are crossed. Tired of not having my truck.

this recently worked with tiffin RVs and creeping slide cylinders. Filing a report with the NHTSA- caused a recall. This likely needs to be the next step for us. A class action suit should be down the road. I will post instructions for the NHTSA. It actually works

Do you mean a class action suit due to something defective on the trucks? I'm going to have to look into tiffin RVs. Attached is the photo of my oil level just under 2800 miles. I change mine per spec - exactly as Mopar says (get up to running temp, 30 min drain time min, pull filler cap and oil filter..). I'm not holding my breath on the MAF because they've bore scoped the DPF just after starting a regen and said it had 4.2 grams of soot (essentially clean), and also cleaned the DPF manually by pulling it out and it still started a regen about 20 miles later.

Yes a class action due to the trucks being defective. There are damages by engine damage, out of warranty claims, being without the truck for weeks or months.

This problem is fairly common and hasn’t been fixed- FCA HASNT taken the problem seriously or you would have a fix by now.

Picked up the new truck finally last night, drove 20
Miles then had to stop to let the stupid about of air pressure that they put in the tires, felt like I was driving a horse and buggy. Let it idle at the rest stop to keep the TIPM to read the pressure I grabbed the gauge that only went to 60psi. Mark dodge had it to 90 all around! 2nd truck they did this to so I’m confused if it’s them or the factory, lol

Anyways, idled for about 8 minutes and I check the DPF and it was prob at 15-20%!

I tell my dad, oh geez here we go. Drive another 5 miles and it went to zero with no regen. Kinda surprising.

They get started and stopped a lot at the factory and during transport, I would check the idle hours, they should be very low unless someone started it and forgot for awhile at the dealer

I had to stop at a hardware store and buy a tire pressure gage on the ride home from kernersville CDJR in NC, same with tire psi it rode horrible.

lol. Just Flat towed the jeep jk home behind it from picking the truck up. I’ll try to baby it for the next 300 miles

It doesn't have to be running to use the selective tire fill assist (STFA) or pressure readout on the evic. TPMS/TPIS. (TIPM is the old fuse box nomenclature).

Key in MAR/RUN.

Factory puts tires at 90psi for the train ride. Dealer prep usually skips any check.
