I just traded in my 22 RAM 2500 bighorn for a 24 2500 Laramie complete with 5th wheel prep package and clearance lamps (along with a number of upgrades from my Bighorn). I’m not a huge fan of the looks of the clearance lights on pickups, but I got what I felt was a great deal that I didn’t want to pass up. Is there an easy way to disconnect the clearance lights so they wont light up? I don’t want to cut any wires, so I’m hoping someone happens to know where there is an easy access connection or fuse that I can pull so the lights don’t come on without effecting anything else. I also want an easy way to reactivate them if I happen to have a change of heart.

The wire runs up the passenger side a pillar, I don’t see why you can’t tap into that wire with a switch to turn them on if the mood strikes you. If you have the aux switch package that would keep things factory looking. Of course everyone you come across is going to try and be helpful and say “hey you know your clearance lamps are out” haha

Their is a fuse that powers ID/Clerance lights in fuse box under hood fuse location # 79.

Thank you. Knowing which side the wire runs is a good start. Adding a switch is one idea I had but I don’t have the aux switches. So if I do it, I’ll hide the switch somewhere.

Yup, Pull the passenger's side panel under the A-Pillar. Right even with the glove box'ish. There will be a connector there with the correct wire for the roof lights. I'm thinking it's the only one that runs UP. Ironically, it's the wire I TAPPED into when I put roof lights ON my 2018 2500. The wire is white with a green stripe, or at least it was back then. You could always just tap that with a small on/off switch and the access to it is easy. That panel with pop with a tug. Or just slice a fuse holder between the connector's plugs. Pull the fuse when you want off and vice versa
