Splitting cracking Push To Start button

Noticed this a few days ago.

2020 with only 16K on it and I never use anything but my index finger to start it.

Thought maybe at first it just needed cleaning, but it appears to have split open.

Anyone else notice anything like this?

Must be your “gentle touch”…. Honestly haven’t seen that before, even my 2015 still looked new when I got rid of it a couple months ago…

Any cleaning chemicals? I was dealing with gauges hazing and lens cracking on trucks during C-19 era when everyone was spray bombing everything in site with disinfecting sprays. I also recall steering wheels in the rams delaminating from the liberal use of hand sanitizer folks were applying.

I changed my start button to the trx style, but my usb ports are doing the same crinkling. what so weird is that I never touch that spot. cables never get taken out, etc.. and still happening.

Nope.

It's not even like a soft touch material that's peeling, it appears the top of the button is separating from the outer body.

First thing that popped into my mind when I looked at this closer.

It's weird, I just noticed one day that it felt like a sharp edge lip that I hadn't felt before.

That looks more like a slight scrape or scuff.
