21 Laramie Tail Light Replacement with blind spot

Tried to get my local tire/inspection shop to change out reverse and tail light bulbs. I have a night edition so everything is already LED. Shop said it would be 4 hr job and would need to connect to computer to reprogram. Before I dig in and try to do myself, are they for real or should these be plug and play? Asked the shop to do it since it's here and the 2500 doesn't fit into the garage. Any insight?

If you have a 5th gen Laramie shouldn't have any replaceable light bulbs in that. On the big horn there are some bulbs.

So my 21 Ram with 45k miles already needs a whole new tail light assembly? Is that the only way to fix my tail light?

Yes if it's the type Im describing you'd need to replace the entire assembly. Are the backup lights on both not working? Heres a link to what I think you have, is this correct? Link

Close. One are smoked. Only the taio light is out. Just wanted to upgrade reverse lights since they are very dim. Guess I'll be calling the dealer to see if my extended warranty will cover it. With all the blind spotonitoeing the price for a repla6eill be outrageous.

Yes you probably have the "night edition" which that center cap is black instead of red. Check Ebay, some prices aren't to bad
