2024 Order Tracking & Discussion

T
SpeyRam, railcar availability is the key disclaimer. The railroad watts to have full rail cars and most likely a minimum quantity of full rail cars to Kent before they ship.
I currently live in an area that is over 100 miles from the nearest interstate. My truck was ordered on 9/13 and completed build on 10/13. It was at the distribution center in Memphis, Tn on 10/26. At that point the wait began. I have had 25 delivery date changes. That tells me that the shipper does not want to tie up their delivery truck to bring the truck to such a rural community. Has your delivery date changed a lot?

Another thing that may hold up the build process is that I think that builds are grouped in some way. I.E. I think that Limitesd are grouped in batches an it may even be more specific such as Megacab Limiteds. That would make some builds be quickly and others take a while.

Brv10 has been significantly more helpful than my salesperson and is doing it out of the extreme kindness of the heart. He is such an asset to the group.

One other thing that I have observed is that a couple of trucks missed there departure scan from the factory. They were listed as being at the factory and then just showed up at the dealer for delivery.

Just my 2 cents worth.

On 11/26 you went KZT for 2 trains totaling 12 days to get to Nashville yard for the truck ride to Gupton. You should be at the yard now. Merry Christmas!

@brv10 Alright, cross your fingers! 3C63R3PL4RG123790 was scheduled for delivery yesterday and is now “TBD” on the website. What’s your system saying? Dealer and Ram are MIA.

You should be at Bayview Yard since 11/17, it's a slow yard.

brv10, can you take another look for my build? It shipped last month, but now its ETA has disappeared. Hoping it didn't fall off the boat! The VIN is 3C6UR5EJ4RG168312. Thanks!!!
Hey @brv10 , would you mind taking another look for mine? I just realized that when i asked a few days ago I forgot the "@" in front, so im sure it didn't alert to you. Sorry about that! And thanks again for all you do for us inpatient orderers !

Morning, as of 11/22 you are at Altamira Port waiting for a ship to take it to Baltimore.

Good morning @brv10, Can you please check my VIN 3C63RRJL6RG215527 for me. Hopefully we are closing to delivery. Thanks.

You have been at Port Allen yard since about 12/10, waiting for the truck ride to Mark Dodge

This truck showed up at dealer 31 days from the day I ordered itC

Still baffles me. You ordered yours (sunny2021) about a month ago it seems (11/11/23 from your signature) and its close to being delivered. Mine is just sitting in Mexico for over a month without movement. Arrgh.

hope everyone is well ! i think i may have convinced myself to put an order in on a 24 3500 drw C&C laramie to replace my 22 5500. Things have sorta changed business wise and 5500 isn't exactly needed anymore (payload wise). Anyone have any insight as to weather the build timelines have became any better since 22 ? if i remember correctly i was basically 5 months on the nose for my 22.

For me, the build timeline is insane. I just got a call from Mark Dodge that my truck is ready for pickup. I placed the order on Nov. 11, 2023. I wish I could tell you why it was so fast compared to taking over 3 months for the same thing in 2022. It may have to do with the dealership VOLUME, LOCATION? especially when it comes to shipping timeline.

Wow that is an insane turn around, i think the best i ever saw was 2.5 months when i was still buying GMs

On the flip side of the coin I ordered my 3500 DRW 3500 Long bedLonghorn on September 13th. It completed build October 13th and shipped October 20th. It unloaded in Memphis October 26th. I am waiting for a phone call from my dealer. My delivery date has changed 28 times and was as late as January 17th last Wednesday. Currently Santa is scheduled to deliver it on Christmas Day.
My dealer is in a very rural part of Arkansas,, over 100 miles from the nearest interstate highway. I used to live in the Seattle area. SpeyRam ordered a truck from my old dealer on September 18th, His build completed October 10, 3 days before mine. He is still waiting for his truck to leave Mexico.
I think that it comes down to truck options for how quickly a truck is built, Since they seem to batch trucks in some way based on options. Quantity of trucks being shipped by rail of ship to your distribution yard. Finally the volume of vehicles your dealer has delivered. In my opinion it only makes sense that the delivery truck companies want their trucks full.
I hope your new truck is on the quicker side.
Merry Christmas to the site. Hopefully I can report on my truck’s arrival Christmas morning. Like that’s going to happen.
