Brand new 2500 with high miles ?

I found a 2023 Bighorn diesel with a huge discount , I am ready to buy but I'm wondering why this truck has 337 miles if t's supposed to be brand new ? Surely it hasn't had that may test drives and nobody wanted it , should I be concerned ?
 
Likely a dealer driven vehicle.

If it hasn’t been titled it’s still considered new. I’ve seen them with lots more miles than 337.

Thanks for the reply , I did a Carfax Report and it says it's new .
I've never spent anything near this for a vehicle in my life and I'm 66 so I just wanted to make sure .
I asked the salesman he told me it came from another dealership out of state on an exchange . Sounded reasonable.

Sounds pretty reasonable.
 
Yep, I bought a new 2007 that had 1000 miles on it from dealer trade. It came from western Colorado and I bought it in eastern Kansas. That's extreme but 200-300 miles is not uncommon for dealer trade vehicles.

I was told this came from Florida

Most likely a dealer trade truck. Also if you buy the truck your warranty will start at 0 miles. So for example your 3/36000 warranty will expire at 3 years or 36300 miles.
 
From my days working at dealers there are a ton of reasons for a vehicle to have miles on it. Most common is it being used by the dealer. Someone slaps a dealer plate on it and uses it for a weekend. They typically try to do that with used inventory, but if nothing used is available they'll use a new unit.
 
My new 21 Tundra was a dealer trade with 360 miles on it. Kinda shocked me a first but it was a great truck and I happily purchased it. I wouldn't worry.
 
Dealer transfers or someone at the dealer borrowed it. Thats nothing compared to some i have seen at around 4k km on the clock

That’s contradictory. It either starts at 0 miles, or the in service miles. You mentioned 0 miles, but the example is using in service miles.

Either way, miles are miles and the warranty isn’t extended based on miles at the initial sale.

The months are different, they are from the time of initial sale.

I would have to disagree at least with every dealer i have used they set the warranty at the KM in the warrenty contract plus the millage on the ODO at pick up so for example my 19 has a 160,095km warranty because i got it at 95km on the ODO

All the documentation I’ve had for my 05, 18, and 22 all show the months from the in-service date and the miles from 0.

Could be a Canadian thing? From my first gen to this 19 they have always been like that for me so im not sure lol

They are very clear when it begins, and when it ends (in the US market warranty booklet): for TIME, it begins on the date it was put in service. For MILES, they don’t mention beginning mileage, because they don’t care how many miles are on it when it’s put into service. They say what mileage it ENDS, which is 36,000, no more. It doesn’t matter which dealership, because they are not the warranty administrators.
