Just got a 2022 3500 with the Aisin. No where can I see the trans fluid and filter has ever been changed. I’m at 59,000 miles. Good thing is Im not part of the Aisin 2022 failure but I also don’t want to be. I see amsoil is recommended online for everything in the truck but the transmission. Online says only Mopar. Is it really an issue?? Amsoil has the signature series and OE formula. I can’t see why both wouldn’t work and I’ve seen people online use amsoil so…?

Mopar ASRC = Mobil 3309. It's on the trans tag.

Fluid change is every 30K, fluid/filter @60K (every other).

Where is that chart from?
Looks like a PDF from the service manual.

Wouldn't be the first time the service manual is wrong. Remember the wheel stud fiasco for dually trucks? They forgot to change the torque settings in the service manuals AND the owners manuals back in 2012 when they switched to metric studs. And it took them 10 years to realize it. Since the typical owner only has an owner's manual to go by, I will follow that unless Ram tells me it is wrong.

lol so next year if they say do oil and filter we made a mistake for 12 years you gonna feel bad? Lol you can’t say “they’ve been wrong before, I’m gonna follow them.” Lol makes no sense.

That info is from diesel hub, not Ram or Aisin.

Show an official RAM publication that states the AS69RC filter is to be changed every 30K. I mean, knock yourself out, but it's not needed. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a hotshot hauler that's changing their filter every 30K (ask gsbrockman on cumminsforum) and those guys are running hard to ~500K or more.

As to your question, I'd run ASRC or Mobil 3309 unless you're looking to be the guinee pig. After 59K on the clutch material, why would you want to change formulation (conventional to synthetic)?

How would I be the Guinea pig if I stated I’ve seen people use it?

Whats the going rate $$ for Aisin fluid & filter change?
I paid $104.87 for the filter, $42.18 for the gasket, $244.19 for the fluid. Coulda spent less on the fluid but I got the signature series instead of the OE series. I think OE is half the cost but hard to say because I signed up for $10 to get a 20% or 25% discount with a yearly subscription.

Does anyone know what the stealership charges?

Which is it?

Really !?

OK, it was only 474K when he sold it...4500 hotshot heavy hauler.

30K intervals using Mobil 3309, 60K intervals on the filter change.

gsbrockman on cumminsforum, anyone can find his maintenance posts on "white lightning." or his current hauler that's at 150+K. Pretty sure he's still doing the same maintenance intervals.
