didn’t feel like a tight fit, went right up using a floor jack as a support. Sure looks tight

I added a ratchet strap on mine because I'm paranoid the added weight would break the cable.

Been using mine the way the factor built it with a BFG 35. Over 2 years and no issues. Even had to use the spare a few times.

Did any of you have to deflate the tire to fit it in there ? Need to get one for mine as well.

I didn’t have to. It’s aired up to 45 I believe. Used a floor jack to basically lift into place then brought the cable up without weight. I definitely didn’t tighten it as tight as the factory did. They had the original spare so tight it deformed the tire.

I have heard some needing too as well as modifying or cutting the heat shield

What is the actual tire height that is the question.
Not every 35" is in fact a 35" tire, most are shorter some are just over 34".
If you post your tire brand and size I can look it up.

Believe the spare is a nitto trail grappler.
