I went with fox 2.0s blew 2 out in 3 months. found a deal on some new/used Thuren valved kings 2.5s. all my work trucks we run bilstein 4600s and they do great.

I sold a truck, mostly because of it’s Fox coilovers and shocks…otherwise, I loved the thing.
Just wanted out of “serviceable” of any brand, found them leaking too many times. Mighty sweet when they weren’t leaking, though.

I installed four 4600’s and a set of SumoSprings on the rear. We tow a 27’ Airstream trailer and I noticed an immediate difference when going over bridges or overpasses with a dip.

The truck is much more planted, no rebound like before. You used to have to hang on the steering wheel to make sure you didn’t bounce into the other lane. No more! I think the combination of Bilstein shocks better control and the SumoSprings maintaining contact with the axle does the job.

The ride without the trailer is better than stock; not harsh just more firm. So glad I made the change.

Nice. I’ve had the sumos for a while and I agree they’re great when towing. My sumos are a lot closer to the axle than yours unloaded but I have at least 600lb of stuff that lives in/on the back of my truck full time. My typical tongue weight is about 900lb. The sumos are a little stiffer than I prefer when unloaded but I’be been very happy with the stability even with no swaybars under the truck.
