What does your 46930 look like? Does it have glue strips on the bottom? There have been at least two major revisions to that filter design in the last two years and none of the three iterations I have had in my hands are the same. The old wix / napa looked identical to mopar 53034051AB but that has since changed at least twice.Been running the Wix 46930 with no problem.
You’ll be lucky if you can continue running the wix then. The glue strip filters seem to be an issue. You can get the Fleetguard AF27684 easier than the mopar 53034051AB. I order from my local heavy truck dealer. The fleetguard and mopar are 100% identical. $44.40 + tax. Runs perfect and has been the “fix” for many a truck with P2459 regeneration frequency or P0299 turbo underboost codes.Yes two small glue strips…I havent been able to get the mopar 53034051AB so have been running the Wix from O’Reillys. Wish Mopar would get their $hit together on parts.
Yes that is correct. The “FR” is made with fire retardant cellulose. It does not have the glue strips. I haven’t taken the chance to run it, therefore I don’t want to recommend it without experience.I noticed online that Wix also makes a 46930FR that doesn’t look like it has glue strips…the FR stands for fire retardant.

Regeneration cycles that are driven by soot load are normally activated at the 50% mark on the in-dash DPF gauge. The only time you should see a regeneration trigger below that is if the 24 hour timer commands it. If your truck went into regeneration at 25% on the gauge, and it’s been less than 24 hours since your last cycle completed, I’d say you have a problem.I got one of the FleetGaurd filters for my truck but it will be a while before I need it. Only have 6100 miles on my truck but it’s regening about every 14 hours since my last towing trip. Was getting one right at 23.5-24 hours before then. I hope this isn’t the start of something.
Before it would jump from 1/4 on the DPF gauge up to about 3/8 and then regen would start but today it did it at 1/4.
Which filter part number? I’ve been getting all of my service filters from my local International Trucks dealership. They’re a mile down the road from my house and can get me OEM Fleetguard stuff pretty reasonably priced. Only one I have to get in a different brand is the rear fuel filter / water separator. I go with the Baldwin PF46152 for that.I bought a filter from the dealer today, because it's on backorder at Geno's, and had to pay $88 with tax, what a screw job!!

Well, at the very least it’s the correct filter. This just serves to confirm Rams markup. $44 for that filter from a Fleetguard dealer. $88 for it from mopar. 100% markup.

The DPF gauge on my truck has never been up to 50%. It stayed at about 1/16th for a while then to 1/4 for a trip or two to town. Then dropped back to 1/16th for a while then back to 1/4 for a little while and then it showed “automatic regen in progress “. 14 hours after last regen.Regeneration cycles that are driven by soot load are normally activated at the 50% mark on the in-dash DPF gauge. You can bet FCA isn't giving $44 for it. Probably more like half that.Well, at the very least it’s the correct filter. This just serves to confirm Rams markup. $44 for that filter from a Fleetguard dealer. $88 for it from mopar. 100% markup.
I’m 99% certain Mopar 53034051AB is a Fleetguard AF27684 with different part numbers and the mopar logo printed on it. It comes standard in every new truck produced. I bet their price on that filter per unit is incredibly low!You can bet FCA isn't giving $44 for it. Probably more like half that.
