Your truck is configured correctly for the 3500 TPIS. If it’s not showing up, it’s an issue with the cluster.

you would think that the cluster is just a screen that displays what is being sent to it, basically a LCD.

I have a bit of an opposite situation. I have a 2023 3500 Limited Cab and Chassis, there is no mention of tpis or tpms on my window sticker but I was told the 3500 trucks all have at least the tpis. I bought aftermarket wheels and had aftermarket sensors put in in anticipation of unlocking the feature with AlfaOBD. I was able to set the same settings you have with Alfa and it shows up but no reading of the tire pressure. I got a "service tire pressure system" message and my evic display shows "tire pressure not available".

Is it possible that the cab and chassis don't have the RF module to receive the signal unless specifically added? Or is the truck not liking the aftermarket sensors?

Not trying to hijack your thread and if there is anything I can test on my truck that would help you, I'm happy to do so.

Not sure if this is the case but I think the sensors have to be programmed. Do you know if that was done?

After having this issue, I went back to the tire shop and they went around and showed me that each sensor was assigned a position on the truck and their handheld programmer was showing all 6 tires and in the correct positions.

My dealer gave me some information to look through, part of it was a diagram of what parts were needed for this to work. I have been traveling for the past three weeks and not with my truck but have an appointment scheduled with the dealer when I get back in Aug. Not sure if it will help but will send what they gave me…

That would be helpful because then i could check to make sure the equipment needed is present on my truck. The tire shop said they would swap in OEM TPMS sensors into my wheels if the aftermarket ones were found to be the problem.

Several people have had issues with aftermarket sensors not working. I’d try OEM before I let the dealership mess with anything.

In my case I don't have the option to display the readings, it is not there even with the original wheels and sensors...

Which is so strange. As soon as I turned it on with AlfaOBD it came up on my cluster. Didn't work, but showed up.

The dealer is still trying to fix my issue (tire pressure page is not on my cluster). Can someone who has this option look at

1. Their cluster and tell me if they see the low pressure indication on the left of the cluster (pic one blue circle)

2. Look on their uconnect screen and see if they have the option to set a tire pressure low limit (tire fill alert) second pic below. I set mine as a testRam cluster v1.jpegtire fill alert.jpg

I do have both of those, but that said, the selectable tire fill alert has nothing to do with TPMS except that it uses the same sensors of course. Setting a lower pressure there won’t stop TPMS from alerting.

My RV tires take 125 PSI. Is that okay for the RAM TPMS sensors?

The owners manual says the TTPMS can be set anywhere from 25-125 psi.

I have the exact same problem as you phatboy64. Same exact truck configuration 2023, factory sensors in the stock tires. Sensors work in the Ram app, but tire sensor display not available in the tile display configurator. I had it at dealer they were clueless, contacted Ram after three days at the dealership I needed my truck and picked it up. A few days later the dealer says Ram got back to them but since the truck was not at the dealership they just closed out the "ticket"!
Have you had any resolution to this problem

No I have not. My dealer asked me to drop off my truck for a few days but I was heading to NC and could not drop it off. I won’t be back in town until thanksgiving. My dealer is pretty good if given the time to sort out issues. My only concern is that everything thing else in the truck is working perfectly and I really want to avoid them tearing apart things trying to solve the issue. I am not sure if it would help but maybe if I share your VIN with my dealer they cal look to see what may be in common….Or visas versa

Hello Phatboy64,
I'm the guy who responded to your post earlier. I have the exact same truck and the same problem. I took it back to the dealer one more time and the scanned and downloaded all the data, said they would contact Ram. After a two week wait I called back and they had no resolution, they essentially had given up.
Have you had any resolution from your dealer?
Thanks,

I’m curious if ANYBODY that has a 3500 with the 12” digital cluster has the tire pressure screen. It does show up when you use alfaobd to change from TPIS to TPMS.

See Jimmy07 post above. He had me change from TPIS to TPMS and the tire pressure tile now displays on my truck (see below). The only difference I can see between TPIS and TPMS on these digital clusters is with TPMS if the tire pressure goes a certain % below the set tire presure the tire pressure low ikon displays on the cluster, with TPIS it doesn’t. Other then that they both change the color of the tire to red if it goes below that threshold. You can see this on the second pic below, If you like to run your tire pressure lower then mfg recommended you can adjust the threshold lower. I run my rear tires at ~ 65 so I set the minimum with JScan to 50 psi, the pic below was before I lowered the tire pressure setting. In my opinion I don’t mind getting the audible and visual alert if my tire pressure drops below the level I want them to be.

Phatboy64 Thats great news! I'm not familiar with AlfaOBD but I will order one now.
Please clarify what "Body" computer and "bypass" refers to.
Thanks
