I rented a car transport last week to trailer a car from Georgia to Florida. I tried to get the Trailer LIght Test to work and I could not. It is definetly listed on my build sheet and there is an option on the Unconnect APPS screen under Trailer to start the light test. However .. it does nothing when you press the on screen button. Other posts indicate the feature is in the EVIC .. but on my 2023 its under apps on the Uconnect screen. Has anyone tried to get this to work on your 2023 ??IMG_6468.jpeg

The owners manual often has errors in it, but it says you access it via the Trailer Tow EVIC menu like the previous years.

Is it also available in the EVIC?
No .. I scrolled through the Trailer Menu in my EVIC .. there is nothing there about a Light Test.

I will go give mine a try...do you need to have something plugged in to the trailer light connector?

I have seen posts indicating it works even if trailer not connected. Thanks.

Can you confirm that you also have the trailer light check feature in your instrument cluster also? That seems to be what he is missing, and ultimately dictates whether or not the app in the radio works.
I don’t have it on my cluster. I only have what is on the pic and distance. Unless I am looking in the wrong place.

That’s where it should be (on the 7” non-digital cluster for sure, which @dmhines has). A third dot above where yours says “trailer brake” would be trailer light check, and a fourth dot would be trailer TPMS.
@dmhines, probably the only way to know for sure if you have it is if you have AlfaOBD to see if the BCM has actually been configured for it by verifying that VehConfig 8: Trailer Light Check Cycle Present is set to yes.

I confirmed it is set to yes. ..I even flipped it off and back on to make sure all was good .. it is also stated on by build sheet that it has Trailer light check ... very strange. I did make a couple of changes with AlfaODB prior to ever trying the light check.. I changed my DRL's to the turn signals, set a Power Wagon startup screen and enabled remote start. Not sure if any of them messed it up somehow.
