I'm trying to figure out the difference between these two mirrors. I know the packages are different, but what makes the mirrors different from each other? PXL_20230821_153303286~2.jpg

As well as the trailer surround view camera vs. Trailer reverse guidance. I have had the trailer reverse guidance in my previous Ram, and the view in the description of the trailer surround view system, is identical. But it shows different sales code XN1 and XPU for the guidance.

Anyone have either?

Trailer reverse guidance is the knob that you turn when backing up to guide your trailer instead of just steering with the steering wheel.

Trailer Surround view is the camera system you can set up on your trailer so you have a 360 view of your trailer from the uconnect screen.

The 3.0 mirror has 2 more cameras that put side views into the rear view mirror and also mandates trailer reverse steering control.

XN1 is a component of AAN, but XN1 is the same in both.

Trailer reverse guidance is the knob that you turn when backing up to guide your trailer instead of just steering with the steering wheel.
Trailer reverse guidance is the ability to view the trailer with the side cameras for turning indication.

Trailer reverse steering control is the steering knob.

Thank you, but if you look at the first image I posted in regards to the difference of sales codes on the mirror, under the "Tow technology plus group", sales code XA1, trailer reverse steering control, that is what you are referring to.

I am fairly certain that trailer surround view camera system and the trailer reverse guidance are the same, at least what's described as the surround view camera system is the same as the reverse guidance camera, which I've had. What's throwing me off is the different sales code.

You're right, my bad. I always confuse those two.

The digital mirrors themselves aren’t different between the two packages. GRG is just the digital rear view mirror with the rear facing camera in the CHMSL. GNQ is the digital mirror with rear facing camera plus the cameras in the side mirrors.

Trailer reverse guidance is not the reverse steering know. It is a “view” that is part of the regular surround view camera system. It’s just a split rear view image from the surround view cameras that are in the side mirrors.

Trailer surround view is a separate surround view camera system in which all 4 cameras mount on the trailer.

Does anyone have access, or know where to find the full descriptions for the sales codes?
