I’m in Texas , broke down 7 hours from home .
Dealer was Huffines in Lewisville Texas.

Great service with regular email updates.

They got their district rep involved and they made it happen.

That’s awsome glad to hear you’re up and running Brotha!! Thank you for the information

1- the TSB states that 5th and Rev gears will function when the failure occurs.
2- in case of a failure while on a busy hwy, how would we get the tranny to engage 5th gear so we can limp off to the side of the road?
3- has anyone reported a failure with a 2WD Aisin?

Photo bellow shows the p/n sticker on mine, 68498559AA does not come up as a good number.
Anybody know if the Aisin trans is the same for both 2WD and 4WD (minus the xfer case of course)?
Same thing just different extention housings

A trusted source also said stellantis is making a decision in the 15th on a possible solution. Basically they have been buying time while small businesses are on hold. Very unfortunate coming from a loyal ram owner….7th Ram
Did you hear any update on this? I assume you meant Feb 15?

I did not don’t know if it ever happened, i was told today by Stellantis it could be march before they release the updated transmission

They pulled a new updated transmission off the transmission assembly line and shipped it to the dealer where my truck was. 2-3-23 broke repaired2-15-23 .

Have your dealer get the regional rep involved, he’s the one with pull.

So they are going to release an updated transmission in March? I wonder if that means they are still using the faulty trans on new trucks, and if they are going to replace all of the faulty transmissions instead of attempting to repair them.

To recap my '22 3500 Aisin:

- 61 days ago today my truck was towed to the dealership on 12/23/2022 with a broken transmission at 9,XXX miles.
- 56 days ago I was told a new transmission was on order and it was 45 days out but that would be reduced.
- 42 days ago I was told the TSB repair kit was on order along with the new transmission and would get whatever came first.
- 29 days ago I contacted RamCares to get a case going.
- 22 days ago I was assigned a case number with RamCares.
- 9 days ago I left a message with my RamCares case manager to call me back ASAP (he called me back three days later)
- 7 days ago my TSB parts kit was to arrive yesterday 2/21.
- 6 days ago I received a call from RamCares that the parts have all shipped to the dealership--some have arrived and some are to arrive.
- Today 2/22 I was told my TSB parts kit is to arrive Friday 2/24.
- Today I went on blood pressure medication due to how poorly this is being handled. I'm in business and I'd be out of business if I handled problems like this is being handled.

Man that’s some BS , mine broke 2-3-23 and was repaired with a new transmission on 2-15-23 , I can tell you Ram care is a joke , my Dealers regional contact is the one who expedited my new transmission through engineering.

Amazing they did this for you, as @5001craig request for them to pull a transmission was denied. Unbelievable. The disparity between each individual’s case handling is egregious.

Oh I agree , Ram care is a joke , they emailed today saying by parts should arrive 24th , I already have my truck.

I mean it’s laughable. Can you imagine how any of us would look if we performed our jobs, or ran our businesses this way?

You won’t find a bigger Ram / Cummins fanboy than me, and even I’m embarrassed for them. I would love to sit down with someone from senior leadership and go over all of the information collected in this issue and see how they feel their performance has been thus far. We’re still far from over this.

I responded to your PM

Got the sheet started. Already up to 20 trucks. Spread the word and send them here if you see anyone with a 22 Aisin failure.
Hello, please add me. 2022 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually quad cab 8'bed, Cummins Diesel w/Aisin Transmission. Failed at just over 3500 miles while towing RV. Unsure of build date, purchased May 2023. No warning, had a light that came on for Adaptive Cruise Control Fault Warning Light and the Check Engine light came on at the time I lost forward momentum. Checked all temps and fluid levels and all fine, in normal limits. Truck would roll backward but would not engage to go forward. Was headed uphill with camper in tow. Total weight of truck and rig 25,160 lbs. Thank you for compiling this info. -Karen Browning

Can do! If possible please get me your trucks date of manufacture (build date) as this is one of the more important data points. That, and the transmissions serial number. I appreciate it!

Did the truck fail 8/12/23? If not please provide failure date.
Also: has your dealership confirmed it was the K1 snap ring failure?

Hi all. I’m finding this thread and wish to see I I can join the list….twice actually. 11k miles and 22k miles. My truck is however a salvage title truck for an accident at 2k however the accident had no effect on the transmission or any mechanical parts. Without the factory warranty both times has came out of my pocket and let me say it hurts. Thank god I know people that help find me what I needed but it still was expensive to repair.

Is your truck a 2022 with the Aisin?
