Hello, anxiously awaiting a Power Wagon

I've been lurking for a bit and thought I'd say hi.

This past April I had ordered a 1500 Limited, but soon after realized the truck I truly wanted was a Power Wagon. It was too late to order a 23 PW and there were none at local dealers with the options I was looking for.

I found a dealer order that was "In Transit", so I put a portion of my deposit down and locked it in. It doesn't seem to have been shipped yet (built on 5/27), and from reading the threads pertaining to special orders it may be months away (I had hoped it would have a higher chance of getting in before the 24s start appearing, but who knows).

Just curious if anyone else has past experience with purchasing an "In Transit" truck.

I will say I am very excited, it is almost all that I think about.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like it will be worth the wait.

Welcome to the club and the waiting game! I'm in the same boat as you.

Back in May I went to my dealership looking to order a Rebel 6.4 and found out that the order window for the '23 model year had closed. My salesman told me that they had 3 Rebels and 3 Power Wagons on order for their inventory but had not been built yet. To make a long story short, I took one of the Rebels that I could live with. Like yours it was built 5/27 and has been in JS status (built, shipped to storage) ever since. The original estimated delivery date was 7/31 has since been pushed back to 8/8. So, who knows when we will get ours. I guess it all depends on where the marble falls on the roulette wheel.

Thanks for the welcome!

We may well be on the same shipment (if yours is going to the northeast as well), mine will be going to Massachusetts. Although, if they do some sort of priority based on "Sold", mine didn't cross the "Sold" threshold until late June. I keep resisting the urge to pester the sales guy for more information.

Mine is only going as far as Buffalo. Being a sold order only means something to the people that ordered the vehicle. Based on their performance it doesn't mean a thing to Stellantis.

Ah that makes sense. You have given me some hope that it may not be too far out, thanks!

Welcome to the club. The wait is worth it.
40K miles on my 75th edition Power Wagon and still love it every day I drive it.

I was in the same boat, was a little pissed when I found out in May I couldn’t build a 23 any longer, I could build a 24 but they are not offering the 24 Rebel in gas, Diesel only So they had a olive green Power Wagon in transit and was going to wait on it but changed my mind as the Power Wagons towing capacity sucks for a 2500 compared to the other 2500’s.
So I did a nation wide search for a 23 Rebel 2500 6.4 with ram box, and level 2 equipment group and towing tech group, I wanted those things at least. Found two one in Texas and one In Tennessee, (I live in south Florida) so I drove my happy ass to Texas and traded in my 20 Rebel for it!
Got a couple other extras like deployable running boards, auto leveling, and sun roof, it’s Black which is ok really liked the olive green or the delmonico red but very happy this baby rocks !

Well, congratulations are in order. Sounds like you made a good move!

It just so happens that there has been an update to my situation. While I was willing to wait for the Rebel, a few days after my original post in this thread, Stellantis offered 20% off the msrp on all left over 2022 2500 crew cabs in northeast sales zone.

So, to make a long story short I passed on the Rebel since I found a '22 Limited (with a boat load of money off) that was just begging to be in my driveway.

The Rebel is still sitting in Saltillo. The estimated delivery date has been pushed back again to September.20230807_121916.jpg

Very Nice!

I figured it will be quite some time for my truck to get in, but I'm not really in much of a rush and it allows me to save up a bit more.

Awesome! There actually was a gas rebel at the dealer I am getting the Power Wagon from. It didn't quite have the packages that I wanted, and I don't really have any tow requirements at this time, so I figured I'd just wait on the PW.

Would love to see some pics of it!

Haha, here it is
That's a nice setup. It sure looks good in black, I personally like the machining of the wheels because it draws attention to them and it adds a little contrast to all that black.
Again, congratulations and I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it!

"...it all depends on where the marble falls on the roulette wheel." "Shipped to storage" can also mean they are awaiting something "usually chips" to finish... And that apparently is still another roulette wheel spin...

Well, took delivery this past Saturday. Very excited to learn all about its capabilities. 35s will have to wait a bit. First up will be a bed cover, thinking Retrax Pro (hopefully it won't be too difficult with the bed rails, as I think I saw somewhere here that it will work okay with the silver rails). Also thinking mud flaps and some good floor mats. Out of curiosity, anyone try the FitCam X model C dash cam? It looks like they have a new model that is supposed to work with 2500/3500 with adaptive cruise already installed (which I have).
