2023 HD Crowdsourced Order Tracking & Waiting Room

^^^this
FWIW, I ordered my 2023 back in sept 2022, when Dec/ Jan rolled around and there was zero moment on my order I started getting antsy and started looking at ordering a 2024 GMC HD, my truck went into build status early February and I took delivery the last week of March. I am glad I waited, it was well worth the wait to get what I really wanted and not settle for something I didn’.

Thanks for the encouragement. I really want the Ram truck - no doubt about that. It has just been discouraging to know (if I’m to believe the Stellantis tracking system) my truck was built three months ago and has been sitting in Mexico since then waiting for a train. Hopefully, it will get shipped soon and this will all be a moot point.

Today marks 9 months and 1 day since my order was accepted.

Very much , I could only wish for the patience this man must posess! All jokes aside were all rooting for ya scherm I hope you get your truck soon and they do something to make it right for as long as you’ve patiently waited
I appreciate the kind words. I had a spectacular summer planned: 30 day RV adventure to the 5 national parks in Utah, a two week trip to MN, etc. All cancelled. It's hard to get angry about hail. At this point, my truck could arrive mid-July. They'll start production on the 2024s a month and a half later. I did not know about some of these competitive dealers before I got involved with this forum. I could have saved $5k using one of them vs my hometown dealer. Thus, I will wait until the truck is delivered to my dealer and see what kind of incentives there may be. The answer may be ZERO. I've waited 9 months, I am more than willing to get a better deal through another dealer and work towards an April 24 delivery.

Day 93 of my 5500 being stranded at the factory. Supplies are running low. It's been a real rollercoaster of a week with the tracker - first my truck turned into a Promaster mini van, then back into a 5500, then into a low resolution 5500, and now back to a Promaster. The one thing that is constant is the "TBD"s. I can only hope the web site folks don't have a side job at the factory. I put my current truck up on carsandbids though, so that's added some entertainment.

Hello,

My question what does Ram Cares really care about? There are a lot of folks on this list who have been waiting A LONG TIME. For me it has been 120 days my truck has been “STUCK” at the factory since ”Built”.. My queries to Ram Cares have only resulted in ‘we will open a case and get back to you within three business days’ I have NEVER heard from anyone ( I’ve done this three times).

Please put some effort into helping Everyone on this list get some answers as to when we will get our trucks, and if possible explain why it has taken so long to get them.

It would be nice to see them maybe have some kind of program where once your truck is built and has set who knows where for over 60 days it automatically flags it and gets subbed out to an independent carrier who goes and gets a few at a time taking them to specified dealer , looks like it could possibly save $ through interest alone even if not happy customers produce a lot of repeat business and sway their friends/family towards certain brand vs saying I’ll never do that again ! And that alone would be profitable

Also I do hope how soon my #2 is done my dd is 95 Chevy ck2500 with 454 5 speed just money I’ll save in gas make up for truck payment! Still good truck but cab mount let go other day along with numerous other small problems she’s about to go out to pasture before to long

Stellantis was sued in January for diverting more inventory to high volume discounted dealers and providing secret discounts to same. Which is also the type of dealer most of us here are using. Could it be possible we got caught up in a policy reversal to the point Stellantis has now purposely moved our orders to the rear of the line to reverse the stats for the upcoming lawsuit. “Larchmont is given later-than-normal delivery windows while competing dealerships get priority inventory,”
Or perhaps for us delivery windows are not important since they are trucks that are basically already paid for, so dealer lot inventory receives a human manipulated higher shipping priority over customer ordered trucks. I doubt it, but just thought I would throw that out there for any conspiracy nuts on the forum.

I doubt it. I ordered from MD (who moves 500-700 vehicles a month and the first dealer last year to win an award for selling a vehicle in all 50 states) and my truck was built 4 months, 7 days ago, and still sits in Mexico. But what do I know…I couldn’t find anything about the lawsuit, but I can be computer dense looking for stuff :D

Mine was ordered from a local dealer in VA (based on a price from a high volume out of state dealer). It is still in Mexico running a race with pacnw1963 for oldest built but not delivered!

BTW, I did also say "I doubt it" too. It was just something else to talk about while we all wait for our trucks. ;)

My dealer wrote and said that my truck should be on the train Jun 21. I did not know about the low priced volume dealers before I ordered, so I don't have a smoking deal. So, given how long I have waited, I asked the dealer for an equivalent deal because of missed delivery dates. I hear that 2024 is open for orders. If I don't mind a 4-6 month wait, I can get a 2024 for a better price.
