Baja Designs SAE Gen2

I ordered these on day one of release on March 3rd. Due to the back ordered directly through baja I canceled my order and got them on ebay.....go figure. I never did the trade in as wanted to compare them to the Gen1s.

The Gen2s is a lot brighter and the beam is more focused. The projection down the road is a lot better. Driving down the road they do not wash out at higher speeds. Overall big improvement from the Gen1.

Ah those are the wide cornering lights, Probably a bit brighter than the SAE. they are nice lights but not road legal.

They really do a great job on rural back roads, lots of deer to watch out for

Still waiting on my order of gen2s from Baja. My intention was to send back my old ones for retrofitting after getting them.

It said sae were not on back order when I placed my order 3 months ago

Yeah I was at 4 months.. I talked to them last week and they were working on beginning of February orders....Selling off your website directly but fulfilling big back orders is not a good practice. Great product but at least say sold out you can not buy right now lol.

Ok so I spoke to Baja designs and I was slightly annoyed when I first picked up the phone because I’m at 13 weeks on my order of the gen 2 SAE fogs. I’m glad I didn’t send my old ones in because I’d have gaping holes in my bumper this whole time.

I inquired about swapping SAE lenses for sport or pro lenses but that doesn’t work. Ended up talking about getting my SAE gen 1 lights converted to sports or pros when I send them in and they said they can do that. So I won’t be stuck with two sets of SAE lights.

I’ve dealt with Baja designs a few times and they’ve been awesome each time.
