Dan's 2023 2500 Tradesman UNLimited

The one on the BFG site for their A/T KO2's. Went to my size, 35X12.50R17 and clicked on it. And it came up with the load value at different pressures starting at 25 PSI and going up in 5 PSI increments. ;)

At 25 PSI, the combined weight load of the 2 tires (3750) is more than my rear axle weight of my truck (3080). So that's why I said 20 PSI.

Gotcha, makes sense.

The lower pressure is the minimum pressure recommended, regardless of lower weight.

I run into the same issue. I’ll only go below the min published pressure, 35 for my tires, if I won’t be driving at highway speeds and it’s cold out. It’s great for added traction on snow/ice or improved ride on FS roads.

Very interesting, took it for a ride, never gave a blip about the new TPMS, I’ve been used to some notification, such as drive to display, etc. Seemed instantly recognized.

Black Rhino Arsenal 18x 9.5 -18 offset 3640 lbs load rating
Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/75/18 Manufacturer specs E 4,080 lbs @80 psi 11.3 sect width, 34.8" overall diam

I have a minor wheel well liner rub to play with, heat gun should do. I'll put some miles and retorque and then add the center caps.

That’s sharp!!! But I’m biased towards white Ram’s with black rims.

I have the same running boards and really like them, but mine are installed the other way. I went back and forth on what was supposed to be forward and ended up putting the go rhino label forward for best fitment. What made you chose that orientation?

Thank you, yep, I like your truck too! I remember I had made my decision/ordered but I hadn't seen your truck yet and then you posted a new one and I was like "oh yeah, good choice"!
On the running boards, 4 things: (1)when looking at all of Go Rhino's own photos/advertisment the logo is shown to the rear across multiple models (2) it seemed to me that the point at which the boards are the widest would be the main intended most frequent stepping area which would be front door (3)when I received one damaged and asked for replacement they asked which side, I answered with the way I had placed them and it resulting in receiving the correct one (4) based on this picture would you say that the alignment of the holes or indentations in the stepping area orient themselves in-line with the truck and would they be off, making more of an angle to the truck rather than parallel if mounted the other way? Bottom line though, as long as they are working I think we both got it right

Yeah I went back and forth.

I had a little interference with the plastic bed molding the other way, and preferred the rear tapered look. It also gives a little more room for the kids to step. I do recall reading somewhere that there might be mud flap interference and with the way you have them there was inches of room so I flipped them around and liked it.

Very hard to go wrong!

Just FYI if you haven't been following along. These are:
Black Rhino Arsenal 18x 9.5 -18 offset 3640 lbs load rating
Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/75/18 Manufacturer specs E 4,080 lbs @80 psi 11.3 sect width, 34.8"

The overall diam equivalent or bigger than some tires sold as 35s in addition to an aggressive offset at -18, I doubt this would be necessary at a -12 offset.
Just a little rub, you can make out some marks here.IMG_1281.JPG
And on the drivers side here

But the main little chatter box is from the removable trim pieces here
Left and Right

Which are held on by 2 screws each and engage with these clips on the truck

So let us get to cutting shall we?

Leaving you with this

This does not touch the tire but better safe than sorry, I don't care for a jagged edge in close proximity to the tire.

This mark is for your visual reference only, to better understand how much I will take away, very little.

As you can see, post-cut the reference line remains

This simple little thing gained close to ½" clearance by holding the plastic liner closer to the body and further away from the tire. I used a rubber grommet as my spacer.

And finally just a little smoothing with a heat gun on the edge of the plastic ridge. Here you can see the pinch weld timmed down and painted near the bottom. All is quiet!

Once you see it you can't unsee it, especially on a white truck. Same reason I think rear wheel well liners are mandatory on a white truck. Today's task.

Went ahead and pulled the running boards since I needed to black out the Go Rhino logo anyway. Easier to work on this anyway.

IMG_1305.JPG

Used clamps since I was working alone but if you had a helper to press firmly on the 3M as you go it would be fine.

IMG_1308.JPG

Bye holes! Much cleaner look IMO.

This is 1" body side molding.

It just looks so unfinished, especially with a white truck. I decided to just dip it though. But I should have stuck with Plastidip. Very familiar with technique after many successful and long term applications, cannot recommend this product, poor coverage, as if it's a translucent instead of a solid, doesn't 'break' well on emblems, very runny. I'll redo the 2500 later but for now the tailgate is done and the emblem is a 10 footer.

The tailgate connectors.
