Remote Tailgate Release

I bought two of these for my Big Horn:

I had my buddy at the dealer program them both. Took maybe 5 minutes.
The tailgate worked as soon as the remotes were programmed. He didn't have to do a single thing for the tailgate to drop.

I didn't have remote start - so he just added the sales code and boom, both remotes now have tailgate drop and the remote start.
Silly they all just don't come like this. It should be standard.

Finally got the dealership to program a key from Mopar online. Works perfectly, question can the remote start just be programmed in also? On a tradesman

Yes IF you have a hood switch. Just pop your hood with the ign on and see if it says the hood is open ( image of truck with open hood) if not you need to add the hood switch too.

So just tried to do the remote start with the Jeanie obd programmer. The programmer did its thing light turned green horn honked and all seemed to work. Also installed the bypass adapter . Put it all together and it won’t remote start. When you click the button twice it honks but no start. Has anyone used these programmers? Had any success? Any one with any ideas why it’s not working. I had a key programmed at the dealership for the tailgate and that works. Truck Also has the wired hood latch . Truck came with it. It’s a 2022 3500 ho Cummins, tradesman

Drive the truck over 35 mph first, then try remote starting it.

Sorry If I missed it, has anyone had luck on the 2023 Bighorn that does not have the remote tailgate release? Its power assisted once you manually pull the tailgate release. My remote has a blank spot where the release would be. If I could simply have someone solder a small button in place to get remote tailgate release, that would be awesome.
