Hey all, I'm buying new tires for the 3500 and looking at Falken's R/T tire. Looks like it was released late '22. I'd be buying the 37x12.5R17s and using them for road, off-road, and snow conditions in CO and UT. Any feedback on them?

For snow conditions I think I’d look at a 3PMSF rated tire, unless snow is your least concern.

Otherwise, that’s a sweet looking tire.

Thanks I would prefer the 3pmsf for sure, but it's not a huge concern. We mostly take other vehicles for the weekly ski team runs (and they all have dedicated winter tires). Still I would not want something that's truly awful in the snow.

I was also thinking about an AT tire like a Toyo AT3 but wasn't sure how the durability would be on rockier trails with the weight of this truck. The AT3 would probably be better in snow though.

Personally I’ll never run Toyo again. I’ve been burned by them too many times.

If you want a good AT in 37” then the wild peak AT is the best option.

I really like the Wildpeak AT, but having trouble actually finding the 128 load index 37x12.5R17 in stock anywhere. Maybe I should be more patient!

I like all the sidewall I can get! I also like the wheels I have (Method 704 HDs).

With 37’s you will be fine with any sidewall 17-20”, but owning a wheel is very different than buying a wheel.

I looked at that tire hard. I really really like it. And after running Falken wildpeak ATs on my wife’s GC I wasn’t impressed with them. However I’d like to give the RT a go. I am probably about to move back to Colorado and do way more pavement pounding than I’m trail running so I opted for my tried and true KO2s. They work. I’d love to hear how you like them if you pull the trigger on them though

Thanks definitely will do. Were the ATs you ran on the wife's GC trh AT3W Falkens? I've mostly heard good things about them and was thinking about putting those on the wife's land Rover once the cooper ST Maxxs that are on it now are done.

Ill second this i have been burned by crap toyos 2 times they are absolute garbage and the AT3 is also complete trash in the snow!

I would recommend duratracs they get great tread life and great traction. After trying many other tires i keep going back to them just because they are a great tire and i usually get at least 50k miles out if a set

This was 2019? So May have been prior version. They lasted a long time but got horribly noisy after about 20k miles. I didn’t like them at all.

Funny how we all have different tire experiences. I have been having great luck with Toyos and have run them in at2 multiple times at3 once and rt’s multiple ties and never had an issue. I have run cooper st maxx multiple times and other than noise liked them and ko2 and liked them and multiple sets of falken at3w and liked them. My favorite tho is still the toyo rt on a heavy truck.

My biggest complaint with toyos were the tread life on the M/Ts i got 15k miles and the AT2 i got 25k miles

Same thought I had about peoples different experiences, after reading dudes post about duratracs. I call them duracraps because I ran them once and utterly hated them. Shrug.

I recently learned there are two versions of the duratrac. The non-winter version sucks on every surface.

I’ve never ran the winter version, but have only heard good things.

The 3 peak rated ones are worlds apart from the non rated ones. The is not much i cant do with them including plow the really heavy wet snow effortlessly
