Looking to have all the parts in place for when my 23 Limited arrives. I’d like to add a camera to my enclosed snowmobile trailer so I can see behind it and take advantage of the rear view display that will allow me to see behind my trailer. Part numbers or links would be appreciated if you have them. Thanks!!

The Tow Mode Trailer camera displays in the digital rear view mirror. Part number that I used for my ‘22 is 68527599aa. Pretty sure it’s the same for a 23, but I’m sure someone will confirm. You can try searching the forums for that part number too, someone may have already confirmed.

I am not certain it wont come with one. I do not have a window sticker yet, I believe that appears later on once the truck has been built. Its currently in production.

Did you order it?

If so, do you have your order sheet with all the codes on it?

I just double checked. I did not order it. I do have the display mirror that comes with the Limited 1 package. Am I still able to add the camera? I sure hope so!
After towing my new trailer quite a bit more since the truck order, I definitely would spend the $5-600 and add it to my trailer.

You should be able to add it. From what I have seen the ‘23 uses the same camera as the ‘22. The part number that came with my truck is

68527599AA

With the '22 trailer view camera there were some complaints about the cable not being long enough. So for the '23 they increased the length of the tow mode camera cable from 57 to 73 feet. To compensate for the longer cable, they switched cameras and added an inline repeater. The '23 cameras are in extremely short supply. The majority of trucks that were ordered with one, eventually had the camera removed from their order. And I have yet to find one available for purchase on it's own.

On the '22, both the CHMSL camera and the tow mode camera ran to the DRVM (Digital Rear View Mirror). The DRVM is responsible for switching between the camera views. From what I've read here, for the '23 they added a video processor module under the driver seat. These cameras now run to this module and it is responsible for switching between the camera views. (This includes the side view cameras if you have the DRVM 3.0 system)

From what we've seen of the '23 so far, any truck equipped with the DRVM should have a plug on the bumper for the tow mode camera system. This means that you should be able to add a camera system later once their availability improves. But, as far as I know, nobody has tried a '22 camera with a '23 yet. It might work. But given the differences in both the truck and the camera system, don't be surprised if it doesn't.

-All the above applies only to trailer camera systems intended for use with the DRVM. There are other trailer camera systems designed to show on the in dash screen. These will plug into a separate 12-pin connector on the bumper. AFAIK there haven't been any changes here between the '22 and '23, so I would expect these to be interoperable.-

I thought that was the case for the DRVM 3.0, not the standard DRVM?

Could easily be wrong thou.

Early speculation thought the '23 non-3.0 DRVM used the same mirror from the '22. Later posts indicate this is no longer correct. See this post by Jimmy07 https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?...order-tracking-waiting-room.11481/post-248526, "I have since found out that all 2023 DRVM equipped trucks use the same 3.0 DRVM, and they all have the camera processor. The cameras they use are different part numbers than the cameras that the 21-22 DRVM uses..."

Good to know, thanks.

Do you or does anyone else happen to have the p/n# for the 23 camera?
