Looking to add usb charging ports to the back of the 40/20/40 bench seat between the heat vents. Right now there is a small pocket there. Anyone have OEM part number or have done this on 2019 2500 Tradesman?

I have a 2019 tradesman as well and cannot figure out how that panel comes off. I wanted to pull it off and see if the wiring was there before trying to figure out the part numbers.

i just wired a usb fast charger to the wiring harness under the seat, and tucked it behind
that panel. shows volts and has two quick charge ports. I tried figuring out a way to mount it. no dice.

I found a video on YouTube that shows how to add a 12v socket to the door panels on Tradesman trucks. I used dual fast charge usb ports instead but it works.
That is sweat!!! My kids will have better access then. So you actually did it on your ram?

Yeah I did. I bought 2 quick charge 3.0 usb sockets that come with 2 usb ports each. Works great. I also tapped into one of the usb ports at the bottom of the center of the dash and placed the same usb socket there also. I have a tradesman so the only socket was at the top of the dash.

I also have tradesman and 3 kids in the back. All 3 using tablets and Nintedo Switch. I'm defiantly putting one on each door. Also that location is perfect so they won't have to bent down to find the outlet. But I'm thinking maybe putting this one there Amazon link click here you never know when I will need the lighter outlet in the back.

So I did it an hour ago. Took me an hour to do it. One thing to notice on the driver side my negative was black wire and positive was orange with purple stripe. On the passenger side black was negative and orange with white stripe positive. There is a orange with purple stripe wire there but it is in different spot and it's not positive .

I like the idea of the power block but where are you going to mount it. My tradesman has the fold down console so I do not have a lot of room back there to put it in the traditional spot.

How any else added this or similar to this location. I purchased the same one and started the install by extending the wires to run under the seat. I can feel behind and under the plastic where the usb mounts but cannot see it. It’s not smooth and was wondering if anyone has removed this for install or should I just drill shallow and try to find the wire by feel being careful. I PM’d the OP but his posted status is very low so I’m not sure how active he is. I’m short on time before a trip.
