Not sure how they did that. The recall campaign is not supposed to begin until 29 May. Notwithstanding, I'm 200+ and have used the step dozens of times since I installed it last Aug. Used again the other day and it works fine provided ya don't try to pivot off the thing from the side. Load it vertically.Dealership paperwork indicated they performed this recall on my truck. Bed step is still on the truck. The main support brace was not changed. I’ll check the bed step again to see if the brace you identified in the diagram as the possible culprit has been changed or looks like a new install.
Yeah, I know. Everything is still all original equipment. I’ll go back once parts are available. Not sure how they did that. The recall campaign is not supposed to begin until 29 May. It was the dealers bonus for doing nothing.Dealership noted they fixed my bed step on my work order invoice. Just checked underneath and I don’t see where anything was replaced. The bracket and all braces still have the original Cahill marks from the assembly plant.
Do you have any pictures to show what the AMP setup looks like?Just installed the Amp research front and rear bed step. Well built kinda of pita to install but worth it . Nice design very strong
I hope these steps come in soon, my dealership failed to give me the price reduction from the Bed Utility Group even though my window sticker indicated such. I spaced when we signed the paperwork and didn't make sure we got the difference back. When the step does come in, I'll expect them to take that amount off the install price.
Also, anyone get a coupon from FCA towards the purchase/installation of this thing when it comes in? I was told I was getting one but never received anything.
PM me your VIN, I can check your address and make sure everything is fine.

I did the exact same thing and I’m kicking myself now. Essentially paid full for the step and have nothing to show for it. No coupon either, though ram cares called me to tell me that would be happening pre delivery.
Kaitlin @RamCares ,
Is there anyway you could check on mine for me too?

So on this issue, if I go in for an oil change and to rotate my tires are they going to try and take my bed step off? I will NOT authorize that until the fix can be made on the spot.

Here is my Amp step installed. I really like this thing. My last Ford had their step which I really liked but it was more time consuming to deploy. It did make carrying an armful of stuff into the bed easier but I found myself just using the corner of the bumper and pulling up on the stake pocket alot if i just wanted in quickly. This won't allow you to carry 2 armfuls into the bed but the daily in and out is much easier and quicker. Both have their pluses but I think this is better overall.
I wanted the OEM Mopar step when I ordered and it wasn't available, then or after the vehicle arrived. So the dealer installed the AMP Bed Step instead. I think I like it better as the step is larger and less likelihood to miss the step when getting out of the bed.
Not sure what's up with that one. I've seen some pictures on RAMs that were perfectly parallel to the bumper. That crooked step would bug the sh*t outta my mild OCD.
I considered making a jig to install my mudflaps parallel to the ground but settled on using a carpenters rule.

Look at myersd1's above. Looks okay. This is the 2nd step dealer put on my truck and they both had the same angle. I even call AMP and checked the reviews on their web site. Same Issues on this step. It is the way it is designed so the step will be flat/level when extended.
I'm getting use to it now that it has been on for a while.
