Bead lock rings

Based on how it looked before and after the cut in the video I think he is using it as a true bead lock ring and he just did not show the bead outside the rim. When he is bolting the ring on the lip of the sidewall looks father out than before and that lip is even with the outer edge of the ring and I don't think it would be if it isn't functional. It appears that it is not flush with the stock ring. It is hard to tell though so I could be wrong.

I see it’s been quite a while since anything was posted on this, but I didn’t think starting a new thread was needed.
I just picked up a 2022 Power Wagon and am curious about this. I would like to get the actual headlock rings before I change the tires.

Nothing. Just checked with dealer last week. I think it’s bad that they upsell you on a package and then don’t offer the parts to make them functional. Very disappointed. If you find anything please post.

I haven't looked at them to compare, but is there any chance the bead lock rings from the Wrangler bead lock capable wheels fit?

Is the wrangler a 17" or 18"?

I know the TRX has a actual bead lock ring for their rims. And they are the same design.
But they are 18". And you cant use the rim on our truck as it's a 6 lug and we are 8 lug.

The Wrangler wheels are 17". I found a picture and they look different, but I don't know what either look like without the rings, so maybe the same rings would bolt up.

Yea, completely different design. They wont work.
Ram uses 24 bolts.
Wrangler uses 25 bolts.

Could the stock rings function as a beadlock if drilled for the remaining holes? Don't know if I've ever seen the backside of a true beadlock ring to compare or if the composition of the beauty ring is up to the job.

My beadlocks have all been 17” and they’ve all been either 24 or 32 bolt. Aluminum ones have been 24 and steel have been 32. Seems like a fairly standard setup. I would think you could find rings. I would be glad to measure the diameter of my bolt holes if someone wants to check

Only pics I can find on my phone of back when I got these wheels 24 bolt hole wheels before the ring went on. These are battleborn but method and many people make 24 bolt ones in 17. I wonder if they match up

So the rim is set up for it.
But what about the lock ring?

Hopefully the correct rings will be available from Ram by the time I need to replace my tires.

If they have the same number of bolts and If this distance is equal on the two wheels then I don’t see why the rings wouldn’t fit

I'd like to see the back side of the ring to see how the clamping area is made.

Who knows, maybe the PW is already a full bead lock wheel. They just had to advertise it as a bead lock capable wheel for legal reasons.

I haven’t been able to login for a day or so but I measured my aluminum 17”s and close as I can tell with a tape measure the bolt circumference is 16” on my rings.

On the back of my rings there is a waffle pattern to bite into the tire meat and hold them. Also, my wheels are cast aluminum but the rings are forged. The factory trim ring doesn’t look up to the task and I’m not sure what it’s made of but method and others sell rings.
