I just got this sexy beast. Installed a drop hitch last week and now when backing the sensors pick up the hitch and drive me ***** crazy. I looked in the settings and didn’t see any adjustments. Anyone have any fixes for this. Before the smart***hats tell me to remove the hitch. I leave the hitch installed because I drive in western Washington (Seattle) people are ***** Morons on the road around here. I leave it installed on the chance that a Prius or Tesla driving ------ voter that is pre occupied with all of the devices in their hands and up their ***es rear ends me. Thanks for the advice. In advance.

Oh, and politics. keep the politics out of the forums. OT is the only place it's allowed.

Did you shut the rear sensors off with the switch in the center of the dash?

If you get rear ended and the hitch/receiver takes the brunt you can damage the frame easier, whereas the bumper can absorb a lot and be an easier fix.

Other than that just turn off the sensors.

My 18 didn’t care if there was a normal hitch in the receiver, but the 22 hates it.

I have the B&W Stow and tow with 7" drop and at the highest setting it will trigger the sensors but towards the bottom it wont. That is also with the ball sticking out. If I tuck the balls under it doesn't bother them.

I think it might be due to the sensors being moved to below the bumper (in plastic trim) on the +2019s.
