Can anyone give a bit of guidance on the wiring for these Alpha Rex Pro Series Halogen Projector Headlights?
No instructions came with them and the online models come with an external DRL module, assuming for non canadian trucks

Looks like a harness plug in, what do you run the other two wires to?
Is there anything you have to do with the looped up yellow wire in the Center?

Alpha pro told me they’re obsolete. I installed them and just taped up those with electrical tape. It does appear on the passenger side that there is a plug however, it is a different connector than that of the alpha pro headlight so again I just electrical taped those and zip tied them out of the way.

I’ll snap some others today as well. I have lasfit led installed as well.

Very simple. Connect to vehicle harness, there’s a supplied fuse wire that plugs into each headlight then the fuse box. Hardest part is deciding how to route the wire (i did it under the plastic radiator trim) no cutting, splicing or drilling. I used a cigarette lighter fuse I think? Or an unused one. I’ll post pictures tomorrow if I remember.

It was intimidating at first having to disassemble the whole front end. But, it actually wasn’t that bad. Took 2 hours start to finish with 90% of that time spent disassembling (learning how to) the front end.

After I got over my fear of breaking things it actually went smooth. Now mind you, my truck is relatively new and hasn’t seen any real harsh conditions (like freezing temps or salt) so it was all pretty straight forward even with trying to keep toddlers entertained while doing this.

Lastly, I upgraded my bulbs as the ones from alpharexx were not led. I opted for lastfit led’s. So the low beam and high beams are both led and output of those are good.
Overall for the price I rate them at a 7.5/10. I would have expected for the price they come with LED. If I was to do it all over again probably would’ve spent the extra money and just gotten the led package from the dealership. These are A LOT better then the factory headlights on the tradesmen. If you can reason with the money increase to get the mid or higher tier alpharexx or the morimotos, get them. Again, these are 100% better than stock halogen. But, having had factory LED’s in previous rams and my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Nothing really beats them unless you shell out 2k for aftermarket. Startup sequence is cool too, wish they had a factory style taillight to match. I will have to look into seeing if I can swap factory LED taillights.

Side note, several videos out there for disassembling. I used this one

Thanks for the follow up. I am also starting to look at the more expensive LED’s offerings from Morimoto and AlphaRexx.

I recently Installed the Mopar Night Edition LED Reflector Headlights. BAM Auto Parts has them for a bit over 900.00. Use Alpha OBD to change your settings and they are very nice. I also installed the Lasfit Bulbs for the Turn PXL_20230106_202054955.jpgsignals.

That’s an option I like. Not too comfortable with the Alpha OBD. Did it require a different wiring harness to install?

There is no Harness required. There is a good Topic here for the install procedure settings with Alpha.

do your high beams have a like a weird round rainbow effect ?! almost like tunnel ?! I just installed Alpharex pro with GTR ultra 2 bulbs for low and high beam and I am not impressed at all
DRL and turn signal look cool , but How the Projector put out the light I am very disappointed

From what I have experienced in the past led in a projector isn’t the best for better output HID in projectors is the way to go. With that said I only have my experience with ddm hid kits. Idk if that’s still the same and how much has changed in the last 5-7 years
