Anybody Have Any Issues with the new HD's yet?

HVAC
Hood
Clunk noise

All of these are not new engineering problems. I am blow away how these slipped through the cracks.

The hood issue almost has me ready to change brands.

Annoying, but far less serious issues than I have had with the other guys. That's how I started buying Mopars in the first place. Ask an F150 owner about holding the door shut with a bungee because Ford couldn't figure out how to keep ice out of the latches. There's more.

BUT, none of that excuses some of this ridiculous stuff, some of which has carried though multiple generations of trucks. That is just stupid. Are you listening Ram?!

I just came from a 2016 F150 Lariat with this exact issue plus more. It was in the shop 3 times, twice they claimed they fixed it. Each additional time they had an "updated fix" I finally had enough. And Fords service is horrible. I live in a cold climate and this made me late for work on many occasions waiting for the cabin to get warm enough that the door would close on its own.

So after 250 miles, I've noticed a weird rear end clunk sometimes, when transmission (disengage) when you press gas pedal and release sometimes on some turns you can hear rear end clunk, And my steering wheel position is going to the right more and more everyday?

A clunk now and then is pretty normal. On steering, are you saying the truck is pulling left and you have to compensate to the right, or when the truck is going dead straight, and you are not compensating, the wheel position has changed? If it's the latter, make sure the adjuster, for adjusting wheel center, on the drag link is properly jammed/torqued. That was a recall issue on 4th Gen trucks, but the 19s and 20s have a better design.

Like the alignment is fine just steering wheel position is moving to the right more and more.. I looked on the bottom everything looks tight

If that is the case, the adjustment is drifting on the drag link. Get it on a rack and looked at ASAP to be sure. Snapshot of adjuster near pitman arm.Screen Shot 2020-05-01 at 7.50.59 AM.png

Hi @GTMF - Please let me know if you move forward on any of these concerns with your dealer. I would like to get your situation documented on our side and escalate a case for additional support through the service process.

Mine was a June build and has it. I don’t expect it to get better or have a fix. I have a feeling it’s going to be a wide problem that we will have to accept. There is no way this is making the list of priorities for Ram. Not when they have 68RFE trucks starting on fire.

I will say my new body mounts came in and they will be installed tomorrow-Friday.

That won’t help the clunk but it might help the metal on metal with the clunk.

bought my 19 2500 3 days ago. Seeing all the problems I’m starting to hope it starts on fire. not really but starting to wish I bought the F250. Hopefully it’ll be good to
Me.

My bed was crooked so the dealer sent it to a body shop that straightened it out. They brought another one over to drop off when mine was ready to be picked up. Ram - my 2016 1500 made in Warren, had lots of areas messed up in the paint. My 2012 charger had a shiny spot on the trunk, and now this. I just laughed and said "It's a Chrysler alright".
My 17 Ram 1500 had the box installed crooked too. I loosened up the bolts but never could get it straight.

Check to make sure your cab isn’t what’s crooked, I had to loosen up my cab bolts and shift it to mate up to the bed.

Dealer had to move both cab and bed on mine. Concerned they noted "now at MAX adjustment."

Can to bed adj was a easy fix for be. Loosened all the cab bolts. And used s bottle Jack to shift over the cab.

I did it myself became the less I have unqualified tards touching my truck the better. It is sad that we even have to do to. Shame on FCA. Now let's get the cab rattle noise figured out and fixed. FCA come out with a good design cab mount.
