That seems it could be solved with a slight bend of those securing tabs and an extra strip of 3M adhesive or a filler plate under the front edge to angle it back some.

Though I opted to spend on the metal rubigrid instead of a fully 3D printed part, I still might 3D print a filler part to fix that clearance problem.
