I ordered my 2023 with a Low Volume Color ... anyone who has ordered a Low Volume color previously .. how long was your wait ? I read somewhere that if they never get 10 orders for your color .. it will be produced that last week of assembly for the model year. I emailed Ram customer care today to see if they can supply an actual count of how many have been ordered so far - will see if they can answer.

Did your selling dealer have any intel?

Didn't ask Dealer .. but got this the other day - I sent a message to Customer Care asking if they can tell me how many have been ordered to date ...

Ha, good luck with that. I guess a generic reply is better than no reply. It would be nice to see if they can get back to you with an follow up. Keep us updated!

When I ordered my '23 Ram in Sept, I originally wanted to go with one those cool Low Volume Colors which was a dark Orange, Omaha Orange. I was advised by my Dealers Commercial Salesman when I went into order that the wait time would be A LOT longer. So, I went with Patriot Blue which was my second choice and don't regret choosing!!! My truck just went into "schedule for assembly' Dec. 6th. From what I am seeing from other orders, my truck should be built within the 1st two weeks of the New Year '23(hopefully!! :D) and with a Shipped date of end January and get to my dealer here in Louisiana end of February, beginning of March. March 15th makes 6 months since my ordered was Confirmed. If you don't mind waiting well over 6-9 months for your truck, stick with the Low Volume color. However, if you cannot wait that long I would suggest rethinking your color to one of the Monotone Exterior Colors!

Following this thread, since I ordered a 3500 Big Horn in one of the low-volume colors. The dealer warned me there would be additional wait time, until ten orders were received for the same color. Also, being DRW, would take longer to get a ride on the train from MX. It's only been two months into placing the order, and my 2003 is in good running shape with 280,000 miles, and my older '93 is still going after 700K miles. I didn't care for any of the standard colors being offered, so it was well worth it to me to wait a bit longer for what I really wanted.

What color did you go with?

My 2020 truck ordered with low volume color took 5 months to arrive.

I ordered my 2018 in June 2017 was the 1st order in low volume Timberline green pearl paint,I waited 6 months for the truck and it was the 1st to be built, now I ordered a 1500 low volume in 2010 for 2011 truck and had it in 4 weeks, all my trucks are speical order and all but the 2500 came to the dealer in 4 weeks, but they were made in Michigan,2500 Mexico,LOVE MY 2500 AND KEEPING IT NEVER SAW ANOTHER IN THIS COLOR YET,HAVE IT 5 YEARS IN NOV.18 2022.ALSO I DIDI BUILD A NEW ONE BUT IAM NOT PAYING 80 GRAND FOR THE SAME TRUCK I HAVE WITH THE SAME BUILD.ALSO A SUPPLIER,RETIRED FROM DANA CORP.GET A DISCOUNT TOO!

I went with the light green.
It stands out in the sea of grays, whites and blacks that are prevalent these days.

Safey Yellow to hopefully somewhat match my Shock Camaro ... I don't mind the wait ...
Tradesman Powerwagon? That's gonna look awesome in that color. I went with Hydro blue after owning 5 different black GM trucks and wanting something brighter and more colorful. It will be nice to easily see my truck in the ocean of gray/ black/ silver that is everywhere here.

Nice Camaro too. I love that shock yellow. I have a 5th Gen Camaro 1LE and my biggest regret is getting it in black. I LOVE how it looks clean with the black color, but black paint stays clean looking for about all of 5 minutes.

Yes - Tradesman Powerwagon. Only way to get a low volume color PW.

Ordered a Big Horn 3500 DRW in Timberline Green in Feb of ‘22. Compared to those who ordered around me, I was one of the first to receive the truck. Mid June, I think.

I was lucky enough to order my 2500 in time to get the two tone paint. Looks like they don't offer it anymore.

A wrap makes a lot more sense to me than ordering a truck in a low volume color

Wraps don';t hold up out here in the desert as well as in cooler climates. Maybe four or five years tops.

$500 for Low Volume Color that lasts life of truck .. or ... $3500 wrap that will look good 3 - 5 years? Easy decision ...

Sorry to bump this, but are these low volume colors still a thing? I don't seem to see them on the website. I find the stock colors kind of boring, and would like to maybe get one of these more exotic colors.
