Ram does not appear to offer Hemi engine options for the Limited Longhorn or Limited version this year.
Does anybody have any information that might say otherwise?

The Hemi is not available on either of those trim levels this year.

Hopefully they bring it back in 2024. Otherwise it's going to either be a Ford or GM for me.
It was removed because the sales equated to less than 5% in those trim levels. There is also rumor that this will be the last year for the hemi as well.

Maybe for non HD pickups. But I don't think the emissions and fuel economy requirements for passenger vehicles applies to HD pickups.

No, it was for HD pickups. There is a lot of discussion about it in the 2023 forums on this page. Just have to browse through each of them to see the specifics.

The Hemi is being phased out across the board. First announcements about it started a year ago. They are also phasing out the Eco Diesel in the 1500's a other vehicles. It's why I pulled the trigger on a diesel gladiator this year.

I've been reading about the demise of the EcoDiesel. But the articles don't really explain why. Is it a flawed design?

Low take rate combined with emissions concerns would be my slightly educated guess. The manufacturers are moving to streamline both manufacturing and supply chains, and low volume configurations are being chopped.

Also (at least in the Gladiator) lots of overheating issues when towing anywhere near the limits. The front suspension doesn’t handle it well either.

The Eco D can’t meet the upcoming emissions requirements for light duty vehicles either.

It's about time the 6.4 was put out to pasture. Ran needs to up it's gasser game. Go drive a 7.3 gasser and tell me I'm wrong. More power, quieter and better mpg.

They might have the hurricane going by then with a turbo... And there are still the rumors about a 6.7 Cummins block running on gas...

I have both and 100% agree
I wish I could get the Ford powertrain in the Ram truck

Agree with this. My perfect truck is the Ram interior and ride with the Ford 7.3 powertrain and GM practical features (bumper and bed steps, etc)
Albeit less aesthetically pleasing, RamBoxes are very practical....might want them with your steps too.....oh and ROUND wheel wells!
