2021 Models with Trailer Light Check

My '22 will do the light check with no trailer hooked up

Hmm, I wonder if there's another setting in alfa I'm missing.

I just recently swapped a 2021 cluster into my 2019, in the pursuit of getting off-road pages, trailer Blindspot, and this trailer light check.

I have all features enabled in alfaobd, and off-road pages as well as trailer blind spot now display and mostly work.

Trailer light check is still missing... Is the menu option only available when a 7 pin trailer is hooked up?

Here is my BCM log, you should be able to search for trailer and it will highlight all of the trailer settings

Edit: like Brutal_HO said if you still have the '19 BCM that could be the reason why it doesn't work.

I didn't, just swapped out the EVIC.

The 2019-2020 BCMs will accept the settings changes for it, but probably aren’t capable of broadcasting those messages.

So, that confirms both items need to be 2021+ for it to work- I have a 2020 cluster with 2022 BCM, and it doesn’t work. You have a 2021 cluster with 2019 BCM, and it doesn’t work.

Andrew has been patiently waiting for me to get him some logs for trailer surround view and I keep forgetting.

Would it be fairly simple to enable the trailer light check, through alfa, in a 23? I didn't order the towing tech pkg because the advertised options I already had or didn't need.

Yes if you have a 23 it should be simple as turning it on with Alfa.
