I've been researching on which truck to buy for some time now and I've pretty much decided on the 2020 2500 Megacab in either Limited or Longhorn trim. I'm already sold on Carli's 3.25 pintop setup but my dilemma is whether to get a truck with auto rear level suspension or without it. I don't plan on towing much and wouldn't need the auto rear level but alot of the trucks for sale in my area only come with auto rear pre-installed. For those with with Carli suspension, which truck would you recommend for installing the 3.25" on?

I don't know if you have already ordered your truck or not but there are some kits starting to become available for the air trucks. Be careful if you have a gas model because I have seen some kits that say for diesel only.

I was JUST going to post this very question. Whether or not to order my 2021 with air suspension rear if I will eventually be doing a modest Carli Commuter setup. I'll search again, but it sounds like it's not entirely clear from this thread. I sent Carli an email so will see what they say. I'll share their answer here just in case someone comes-across this thread searching in the future.

Did you ever get an answer?

Ah. Yes. Sorry, forgot to report back in here. They said to skip the air suspension.

“Personally, I would skip the air ride with a Commuter unless you will be towing with it. If you will be towing somewhat heavily with it, the air ride would be a nice option actually with Carli releasing air ride systems early next year.”
