anyone use the PACBRAKE oil filter relocation kit? i am thinking about getting one, the oil filter is in a terrible location currently.

it is not in the best spot and it makes a huge mess when changing...luckily i did it in the yard and not in the driveway...

I find its not bad at all myself and i hardly spill a drop ever. But they should work well

Get this and you'll no longer have an issue, plus you can properly pre-fill the new filter w/o spillage issues.

You're doing it wrong
Pre filling is not proper as you are putting unfiltered oil in the part of the filter that holds filtered oil… if prefilling you would have to fill through the small holes in the filter not the large one…. Plus prefilling is a waste of time and effort

Unfiltered oil from a jug yes….
Why over complicate things just spin on the empty filter dump in 12Qt of fresh oil and fire it up no need to check the level or worry about anything…

Age ol' argument between "unfiltered" pre-fill vs just installing and letting the system fill upon start.
IMHO I'd rather not have any delay of oil pressure to the head upon cranking. Albeit a small delay, I see the former as the lesser of evils.
