You are right, steel and I like em’. I thought the spare would be aluminum also, hadn’t really looked…$400 and something though, would only need three I guess.

Maybe not stock size/backspacing, but I am also looking for steel wheels 17x9 with around +12-18mm offset. I can't seem to find anything 
Such a cool look and also great for winter-so you don't ruin a $2000 set of method's with salt and sand

…can hammer steel back into shape in the middle of nowhere, the stockers took some shots last week that could have been very inconvenient if any worse.

There are 2 sides to this argument at least the steels are cheap to replace and a cracked mags are more costly to replace. But honestly how often have you ever seen that happen offroad? I have been on nasty trails and seen torn tires and other carnage but never a destroyed wheel without a rig flippinghammer awayView attachment 46051

I have fixed a few steel wheels and murdered a couple of aluminum and a steel in the past plus I like the look of the old steel wheels. Seems it’s always elk hunting when I mess something up….

I like the old steelies plus easy to weld stiffener rings in them or beadlock rings

This is closer to stock PW specs and offset. I think I would need spacers to run 37's (also can you put 37's on a 7.5" wheel?)

Yea you can hammer steel wheels back straight. My old steel wheels took a beating and they were way out of round and raisin shaped. They still worked. It was fine.
But..
then I switched to aluminum beadlocks with forged rings. You can’t bend those. They can shred a tire and finish a KOH race on a forged ring and it’ll still be round.
Forged aluminum is the way to go.
