My 2019 Cummins HO seems to be ticking until fully warmed up, CP4 recall was done a month or so ago. Anyone have an idea of what the noise is?
I had to take it back to the dealer, the refrigerant leak out of the system. They charged it and now I noticed it has the ticking again. Maybe it’s a pulley when there is a load from the AC.I just got my truck back from the dealer. They changed the AC compressor and the noise is gone. I will be listening for it to come back.
Did you ever find out what the tick was?mine is there even with AC turned off, but gone once engine is at operating temp

I saw that one too. Sounds like the famous typewriter tick. Many report it starts after a oil change and what that has to do with the tensioner is beyond me.I did not, went away in the winter and hasn't been back, did see a video on facebook that a guy might have found it to be the belt tensioner. Same noise and when he put tension on the tensioner it went away.
My 2018 ram (77k when traded in) made ticking noise like that from dog filter. My 2022 ram (27k so far) does same every now and then. Both trucks run CP3 pump. Never had issues. My experience. Hope it helps. My 2019 Cummins HO seems to be ticking until fully warmed up, CP4 recall was done a month or so ago. Anyone have an idea of what the noise is?
