2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Have you tried reaching out to Ram Care or Mike? When my truck hit 40 days KZ, I was able to escalate my case with RAM Care. 2 days later my truck shipped

Do have Mikes contact?? Ill try Ram care today.

I am in the same boat but more excuses. My order is going on it's 8 month birthday. Nothing to celebrate. I got the stolen keys excuse. I got the hail damage excuse. I got the defective ECM for HO engine excuse. My 3500 Mega drw longhorn was ordered 2/26. Built 6/14. Went from KZLD to KZ status months ago. The latest I heard from Ram Care is that they closed my case because the case manager did not do anything. Closed for inactivity. Just got off the phone with the dealership GM who promised to call "the rep". Agree that I am running out of patience.......
have you reached out to Mike McDonald? Mine was ordered 03 March and just shipped a couple weeks ago. It only shipped because Mike called the MX plant and made them put it on a train instead of a boat. It took a couple weeks to get his attention, but once I did; he has done everything he said he would.

Wife and I full time and run a YouTube channel. Ours was delayed a lot. Ordered 03 March, Built I May and just sat. I finally did research and contacted Mike McDonald at FCA. Mine shipped within two days of Mike getting involved. BRV10 provided me with the rail car number once Mike confirmed it shipped. GrizzlyRam provided the rail car tacking instructions once you get the rail car number. If you reach out to Mike, please DO NOT use my name. He has not authorized me to release his contact information, even though it is freely available online. A couple others have had theirs ship within days of Mike getting involved as well.

Have you seen your sticker? Did you get 50 gal tank & Auto Leveling? It was left off my order when my truck was built even though it was requested. Just curious if you got it.

If those had been left off my build I likely would have turned the truck down.

Ordering it and actually getting it is two different things. It’s why I asked if he’s seen his sticker. Just wanted to confirm it was built with it. Trying to figure out why mine was left off. Ours were built around the same time.
Yep, 50 gal and auto leveling included on my window sticker

you can upgrade the fuel tank, and aftermarket air bags may actually be better. You never know if someone is in a spot that they really cant refuse a truck. Some need one ASAP.

Yes the tank is a pretty easy, but not cheap, fix. I had a Titan 55 on my 18 until right before trading it in. It's a great tank.

Having ran 3500 SRW with bags and the OEM auto-level I most likely would have turned it down based on that, but then again there are a couple '23 options I wouldn't have wanted on a re-order (mainly 12" screen on Laramie Level 1) and the price difference is huge, so maybe I would have lived with aftermarket bags... Aftermarket bags do work well, but the auto-level just rides so nice and handles the weight better.

I was planning on buying my 2022 and then ordering a 2023. Thinking the trade would not loose much money. Reason was they left off the 5th wheel bed camera. Then i configured a 2023. My 91k truck went to 106k. So I will be adding the infotainment bed camera at a cost of $799. and staying with the 2022

The prices are climbing fast, the base MSRP is up $9,065 on a '23 over what it was when I ordered my '22. Total MSRP increase is $11,170 but I can't get a DRVM on a Laramie anymore, and it mandates the 12.0" w/ NAV on any Laramie Package.

Wow, that's a big increase. I think the MSRP between my order in July and when the window sticker was available a couple weeks ago went up over $2k.

I think the FED is about to kill all these price increases. I dont see how the average person can afford a new truck if they have to finance it.

Yeah, not sure how it's going to work out for the average Joe.

Luckily I was able to trade my '18 for more than I bought it for, make a huge down payment, and get the 0% APR thru Chrysler Capital.

We'll see. A lot of this is just the cost increases of materials.
It does not matter how or why the cost goes up. if the average person can't pay cash or get an interest rate below 6%, that is going to price people out of the market. The FED is set to increase rates again by .75 in Nov. Banks are now wanting a credit score of 700+ to do a loan at 6%. I just dont see how the average person is going to afford a 70k+ truck at those rates. I dont think FCA can afford to do the 0% going forward either. It cost them too much. They may not even be able to do much on incentives either due to high cost of production. But the FED and interest rates are going to be their biggest obstacle.

Ram tracking has various issues with this, like ORDER PROCESSED: TDB. Built 08/31/2022. Shipped: TDB Estimated Delivery 10/17/2022 (was 10/26/2022 and got improved)

I have a business meeting in New Orleans that ends on 10/26/2022 -- should would be nice to drive it back then rather than making a return trip.

I would argue that your average person probably shouldn't be buying a $70k plus truck (or car, etc) as it likely wouldn't fit responsibly in their budget regardless of interest rates. I waited many years before I could finally afford to buy a truck like this because I didn't want 45% of my monthly income going to a vehicle note.

Many years of driving around an old Mazda B3000 before I started moving into full size, then years of saving before I could go HD diesel. Maybe your definition of average person and mine are different based on location and avg. income, but where I'm from most can't afford a top of the line HD (but some but them anyway).
