Airbag Valve Stem Filter

This may sound like a weird question but hear me out.

Does anyone know of any kind of screw on valve stem fitting that either both releases are and has a filter on the end or just a screw on stem filter?

I've got a set of Airlift bags W/Daystar cradles I put on a couple months ago. Work great for towing but I started noticing the rear of the truck seeming much stiffer offroad than before - especially over rolling undulations where the suspension has to flex. The bag set I got have the internal bump stops in them so I normally run them at 0 PSI to allow the suspension to articulate when not towing. I normally put them to 0 PSI in my driveway where it is mostly flat.

The problem lies in the remaining air in the bags - when the suspension compresses on one side its been enough to compress that bag and stiffen the ride (I don't know by how many PSI but its there. I got https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-19860-...tire+valve+deflator+tool+lisle,aps,142&sr=8-2 and screwed them on there to constantly compress the valve core and allow air to cycle in and out of the bags while the suspension travels and the problem went away. Back to the good ol' PW.

I really don't like the fact that the air lines are just open to the air and elements now though which is why I'd either like to just remove the valve cores and run some sorta screw on filter over the openings or if there is something like that Lisle tool that incorporates a filter. I just haven't found anything.

Anyone have any suggestions?

If there isn't anything I may end up just drilling 1-2 small holes in the end of a plastic cap and stuffing it with some very lightly oiled cotton gauze. Just run it like that without the valve core.

I'll sell them for 25 dollars each marketing them as a K&N for your airbags

I have never seen a filtering deflator you are on the right track with your idea i am thinking the same thing when i install my bags just some oiled scotch bright in the cap with 4x 1/16 holes in the sides

Scotch brite is a good idea.

Perhaps a setup like this would help? Sorry for the crude drawing:

You would just close the ball valve when you want air pressure in the main line and open when you want 0psi in the lines, the air would escape via the diffuser. Just a thought…..

I do like that. Unfortunately I ran the airlift kit with the 1 piece braided air lines so I couldn’t splice that in.
Ah dang…i did find these, which you could maybe use, so you dont have to remove the cores each time:

Thought I’d update this thread. Never did get the caps but just had a hard time knowing they’d be exposed to the elements and the possibility of moisture getting into the system. So I bite the bullet and pulled up the Ramboxes and put them somewhere else. Pretty happy with the location. Leaving the screw on deflators on for normal use and remove to inflate the bags. Works out well!

Not enough slack to mount both in the same box unfortunately.

Another advantage is they are up high so if I’m off-road and go through some deep water there isn’t the possibility of water entry. If water gets that high I’m probably just sinking anyway…
